This is one of the better MJ compilations, with good reviews and a great selection of classic MJ hits. Was £11.98 earlier in the week, then £10.98, now just half that at £5.49 - a great price for 3-CDs worth of music - if you're after this grab it before Amazon put the price up again.

These are DRM free MP3 files - you can easily play and copy them wherever you want to. You can also burn them to CD as Audio CDs too.

It would be nice if those who have voted cold on this deal would explain why - this is a great deal, certainly not to everyone's taste, but you should judge this deal on its own merits, not on whether or not you're sick of hearing about Michael Jackson! If you know where to buy this cheaper please do speak up!

There is no DRM - they're regular MP3s that you can use and store wherever MP3 work!

Meanwhile, still no word of justification from those who've voted cold on this deal... this is the cheapest these tracks have been available anywhere for a long time - you know it's a great Hot UK Deal, even if you can't stand Michael Jackson - please vote honestly!

Thank you anyway to all those who have voted hot and left rep. - it's appreciated

Good deal - thanks for posting.
People will vote hot or cold as they like - perhaps some are voting cold because they bought already at one of the higher prices or are expecting the price to drop further. ;-)

I'd buy this now except Amazon won't let me download an album without installing their junk on my computer :x I'll try again later when I'm at home.

#25
fantastic heat and rep. rip michael jackson x

Not a fan of his (at least since he got old!) although he did some good music in his time and some utter rubbish. This seems OK but imho there is a least a disc of 'filler' (nope not killer!).

I reckon this is about the right price to pay at the moment since its ca$h in time for all the music retailers, so voting warm.
#27
shamoan!!!! hot hot hot .

Worth the money alone for the 8 mixes on the last cd.

Not a complaint against the deal; but I was disappointed to see the downloaded .mp3 are not lossless or even 320kbs.

And of course the download is excruciatingly slow with every other track coming up " an't download check your intenet settings"

Note to self - don't buy .mp3s.
#31
Sorry if I sound an idiot, but if I download this straight onto windows media [I suppose?] can I then burn onto disc? Do I need any programme?

Just use any CD burning program. Windows media has it's own too I believe. They get downloaded into a folder called Amazon downloads in your my music files normally so are easy to find for burning.

The whole album downloaded in about 5 minutes for me, no problems at all, never have with Amazon.

I'll give my 8 degrees of heat to this.......the guy was a genius.

256kbps MP3s are really pretty good you know! You'd probably have to be an audiophile listening on high-end equipment with fancy-schmancy £100 cabling to detect any loss. Probably.

Back in the heyday of Napster, 128kbps was considered the norm, with the more refined pursuing 160kbps or 192kbps, so really, unless you're a real hi-fi victim, don't be too put off by 256kbps.

As for download speed, every MP3 I've ever bought from Amazon has downloaded very swiftly, using the Amazon MP3 downloader program (useful because it organises the files into folders etc. rather than having to download files individually and sort them yourself). Might be worth checking out your equipment and/or connection.

There are two ways of burning MP3s to CD:

1) as regular data files, just like any other kind of data files (e.g. for backup copies) - but to play these back you'd need a CD or DVD player that can play MP3 files;

2) as an Audio CD - this creates a CD that you can then play in almost any CD player.

A great free program for burning CDs (that can also create Audio CDs from MP3 files) is CDBurnerXP. It works on most versions of Windows, including XP and Vista.

Alternatively, just stick 'em straight on any old MP3 player and you're sorted - no plastic frisbees involved!

Hope this helps!

N.B. There are different versions of King of Pop for different countries (some of it was compiled by fan votes I believe). The one from Bang only has 31 tracks listed as being on it (it doesn't say if this is a full listing or not) - just something to be wary of when comparing deals.

Showing £10.98 for me now.
They don't have "Leave me alone" but an amazing album nonetheless!

seems to be up at the £10.98 price again... may want to change the title before anyone starts having a go

Thank you for your suggestion - was going to expire it, but even at £10.98 it's still a good price for the full 3-disc version of this set when compared to alternative suppliers, though it's not nearly as good a deal as it was at £5.49!

Have updated the post and the price, whilst leaving the original information intact for reference.
