Did no one watch alex riley's really disgusting drinks?
It's on iplayer. These wines are just junk and only worth a quarter to a half of what the marked prices. Oh yeh and ever wondered why wines dont have an ingredients list? Its not because of a lack of things to write down!

It's because it's not a legal requirement.

These wines are crap, and are worth 3 for 10 - just.

Do you swallow (sic) everything you watch on TV or could his main objective be to attract an audience perhaps? This is tabloid journalism, pure and simple. Enjoy the programme by all means but don't take everything at face value just because he told you to. Think for yourself!

Of course there is complete rubbish out there (sadly some people prefer it) but if you choose carefully such deals can offer some of the best value available. Of course no wine is 'worth' what you pay (however you evaluate that), since a large chunk of the price is unavoidable duty and tax.

Stop knocking these deals to try to make yourself look clever (it doesn't work!). The OP has bothered to tip off HUKD members that there is a deal; if it doesn't interest you don't buy.

Well you just go on ahead and drink up son. I know I won't be buying wines from these deals again. Its a clear example of age-old marketing tricks that gets the illiterate in everytime.

FWIW I think this is a pretty good deal. Sure there isn't anything here to set the world on fire, but if you like some basic, quaffable plonk then there are a few good uns to choose from.

If you think this is so bad, then perhaps you could help educates us "illiterates" with your superior wisdom, oh wise one, and point us to some better deals? ;)

So which bit upset you so much - the trick of showing a pile of dead fish because that's where isinglass is sourced (and used to clarify lots of different products)? The fact that most of the wines were considered to be worth 'only' a fiver (ie considerably more than this deal)? If you don't want anything but grapes (and the necessary mould) in your wine you might as well give up wine - have you?

Your avatar suggests you're susceptible to brand marketing too?

Likewise, the cellar (shed) is well and truely at busting point, no matter how hard I try and get through it!!

Didn't see it listed: Yellow Tail Shiraz is also part of the deal. I've always been a sucker for Yellow Tail...

Was just about to post same. Will edit the op with a comment - they also have the chardonnay and quite a few other labels on promo that I can't recall, that are better than those in the list above.

Obviously not. Maybe it wasn't there - as you've edited out my edit as well.

Perhaps you should have put the better wines in your OP! :p
