Hmm well I suppose it's better than nothing but not as good as Sainsburys
And if it's instore only, my local doesn't even have that many toys on sale so I doubt I'll be getting much from it.
Still, not a bad deal if you were going to buy the things anyway!

MIght be online too but unable to confirm!

Good heads up got clubcard vouchers through this week. Thanks

oh good stuff - still got some double ups left over.

Bit of a loophole with the double up vouchers...

I bought a £40 Toy Story Woody from Tesco Direct using doubel up vouchers. I took it back to the store explaining how I 'd paid for it, but they still just exchanged it for £40 giftcards allowing me to spend it on whatever I liked in store

Good offer on 3 for 2 though

Tesco already had their own half price toy event...similar to the one in Sainsbury's about a month ago. Anything that helps me save money in the run up to Christmas is applauded. Typically I have found Tesco to have a much larger selection than Sainsbury's, so there may be bargains to be had.

Might just be me thats spoilt by having a massive Tesco Extra near me! :)

I went in my local store this morning and none of the staff were aware that this was happening on Friday?

Anyone else know anything about this? I'm hoping for online too. Would this start in stores at midnight? I have a 24 hour Tesco close by

Many thanks OP

Asked in my store and looked at me as though i was stupid.

Will the offer apply to all toys (sorry just reread op) and does anyone think the checkouts will take the discount off once it's turned midnight. My husbands got the car tomorrow:roll:

Missed out on the sainsburys sale so want a bargin. I'm assuming I'll have to pay for multiples of three toys in different transactions to save the most moneyt, or do tesco tills work like the ones in boots.
#13
Was also wondering how the tills worked it out too....
#14
i dont think it will happen and if it does my store will probably not put any signs up

I know as the 1/2 price sales don't appear to finish until the 10th, however the OP has been right in the past.

Just come back from our local store and the customer service didn't know anything and nothing seemed to be going on with the point of sale (signs) but quite often the day a sale starts our store closes off the isles whilst they get it ready and open it about 10am

My tesco were busy putting out loads more toys this afternoon, there were trolleys full of them everywhere. I'm hoping there's some sort of promotion happening.
#18

just phoned our local store and the guy on the phone said they've had a massive delivery of toys and have more deliverys in following days.

I wonder if they were following the success of sainsburys except I can't see it being as frantic as you still have to pay for 2 toys.

Tesco also had their half price toy sale before Sainsbury's - which was hectic too - meant the toy aisles at my local were completely recked - with toys strewn everywhere! My local Tesco Extra now has the full seasonal section underneath the escalators to go upstairs all toys, plus the two regular toy aisles. So the selection is really quite big for a supermarket. Holding out for some bargains! :)

Well Tesco have silly tills - not clever ones like Boots. So you do need to put them through in sets of 3. Absolute pain especially when using the double ups as most items were 19.xx when meant I had to physically spend money rather than just the double ups.
This was in store.
#24
None of this in Tesco's Wolverton just now????
#25
Loads in Longton (Stoke on Trent) Extra....... couple of extra aisles as well :)

Is this still on?
