Tesco have a 3 for 2 offer on loads of packs of beer and some single bottles.

Most of the deals aren't that great, as they've put the prices of many packs up to coincide with the offer. However there are some stand out deals:

12 x 440ml cans of Becks Vier for £6.00.
12 x 440ml cans of Budweiser or Red Stripe Lager for £7.98
12 x 440ml cans of Blackthorn Dry Cider for £5.82.
3 x 750ml bottles of Hoegaarden Wheat Beer for £5.56.

Thanks for pointing out the deals that are good in this offer. Unfortunately I can't take advantage because I'm trying to quit smoking (again), and drinking beer will just make me want to smoke fags as well :)

Here is the link for all the packs in the deal:

3 for 2 Cheapest Product FREE

In fact the Blackthorn isn't on this list, but it is in the deal.

if you like red stripe £2.99 in sainsburys

The World's greatest, Peroni Gran Reserva is in this too - works out at £1.19 per bottle, which is seriously cheap. Sadly, I have never seen it in Tesco around where I live. Hot from me all the same
:)

Just noticed that they are 300ml bottles - still a good price but not the usual 330ml. Tesco eh, you have to watch them.

So 12 cans would cost you £8.97 - i.e. 99p more than in Tesco.

For anyone who hasn't noticed, Sainsbury's are selling 500ml bottles of Budweiser Budvar for £1.08. Obviously this works out at £2.16 per litre for this imported Czech 5% ABV lager.

Even with the 3 for 2 deal, only a couple of the packs of bottled lager at Tesco beat this price.

That said, the 670ml bottles of Red Stripe work out at £1.98 per litre / £1.12 per pint.

I can't work out if these bottles are imported from Jamaica or not though. I know the cans and the smaller bottles are brewed under licence by Wells and Young's in Bedford, but I'm not sure about these bigger bottles.

Thanks for the information.

If anyone drinks cans of Kronenbourg 1664, it's worth noting that they are cheaper in store than online. The 4 packs are £4.79 online, but they're £3.99 in store, so like the Budweiser and Red Strip, the 3 for 2 deal means 12 cans for £7.98. I got some today.

Yes, Axminster has the Kronenbourg marked up at £4.79 as well, so it's odd that they were marked up at £3.99 at the Exeter Metro and went through at that price.

It's also worth looking out for the packs of 4 x 440ml cans of Stella Artois (5% ABV). These had a label for £3.99 and 3 for 2 this morning in Axminster, but the label was later changed to say they are 2 for £7.00 / 3 for £10.00. So it looks like the 3 for 2 label was a mistake and if you find packs labelled this way, you'll be overcharged by £2.02 if you buy 3 packs. Then if you go to customer services you should get a Double The Difference refund of £4.04, meaning you'll have paid £5.96 for 12 cans.

Yes, you're right, but a lot of the prices have changed, so I started a new thread:

Now up to 9 Tesco stores out of 9 who don't stock Peroni, or don't have any stock.
