Coca-Cola are doing a deal to try & reduce the amount of drink driving that happens over the festive period by giving drivers a 3 for the price of 1 offer. Sounds like a good idea to me!

I'm a heavy rum drinker so this is an excellent deal for me.
#2
i am normally "des" and it p's me off having to pay as much for a coke as my mates do for a pint! H&R added
#3
Good deal.

Unfortunately not enough pubs participate :(
#4
Des drivers in Bristol were given free drinks all night last Chris Eve and New Years in a lot of bars/clubs
#5
What a good deal! Only one pub in my town participating, but better than nothing!

Hot from me :)
#6
I think that this is a great deal and one of the most responsible things that any company has done to reduce the risk of drink driving. If this even stops one person from drinking and driving then it has been well worth it. Well done Coca-Cola.
#7
i've wanted pubs to do this for ages, so glad they now seem to be catching on.
How do i find out which pubs participate?
#8
Very good. Not going to affect me or anyone know I really, but it's still a great deal.
#9
hopefully this is on available on diet coke too?

otherwise I still won't be eligible to drive due to sugar rush! :p
#10
If my name isn't Des, can I still get the offer? :w00t:
#11
Does this deal still apply if unfortunately you don't go by the name of Des?
#12
Does that mean I'll have to contact one of my area managers at work to get this deal? I don't know anyone else called Des.
#13
what a bloody good idea!!!!

Bleh, Diet Coke is grim ;-)

Coke Zero is the stuff for me

Great idea - should be more promos like this especially over the Christmas period, instead of the usual BOGOF on shots etc..As someone else pointed out, if it just stops one person, it's worth it. HOT from me :).

Hey. Do you know if this is happening this year? If so, where? I'll be at the Academy...
#17
I'll keep one Coke, and put the other two on Ebay!
(just kidding)

Good deal, but think the brewers should actually pay for this, not Coke.

When I was on holidays in the US was given free orange juice in a club (when they found out I was driving).
#18
Great idea, just not widespread enough.
#19
Good Deal! but there does appear to be a lack of pubs taking part especially in the main drinking areas!! So in that way not that good a deal.
#20
Des o'conner, Desmond Decker, and archbishop Desmond Tutu are all sorted for coke this Christmas then:thumbsup:
#21
Great idea Rep added
#22
best idea ive ever seen... have some heat!
#23
At last, a deal just for me!
#24
On the rare occasion I've been the designated driver I havent felt the need to drink soft drinks at the same pace as those drinking alcoholic drinks. Do you get all 3 at once? Who pays for their own drinks when they're the designated driver anyway? I does sound like a half decent idea but cant see it having much impact.

You get a drinks card so u can get one at a time. Very good idea but you are right not enough impact will be made as not enough pubs running it.

Still if it saves one person then good on Coke, heat added.

I am very much anti - coca cola .

Therefore I'm afraid I must vote this cold... nice idea, but not a very nice company =/

Lol beats the point of the safe driving campaign...anway...coke is pubs always seems to be a bit pricey for what it is, so good on them!

Isn't that totally backwards thinking? Fair enough they fail on being ethical, but here they are trying to help save lives at christmas and you vote it cold. Can you explain the logic, becasue I don't follow?

As others have said, even if only one life is saved because of this scheme, isn't that a good thing? :?

Or it could be a marketing ploy? I mean the lack of pubs taking part suggests that their not too bothered about it. Its just a way to get people talking. I mean none of the major pubs in Birmingham are on there. I think Students are less responsible drinkers yet all the pubs that they frequent (I'm a student a B'ham Uni) aren't taking part either and they're the ones that are likely to get the most customers (maybe that's why their missing)! I haven't even heard of the ones that are part of the offer!

Or maybe there's a conspiracy! It may be those clubs are paying a little extra to coco-cola. I mean if Des says we're going to this pub because i can get free drinks there, then everyone else is going to have to come along too which means more business for those places! :-D

The pubs have to bear the cost of the two free drinks, not coca cola. That's why a lot aren't participating, because some people go to the pubs and purely drink coke, meaning they lose money. It's only profitable to them if people are drinking alcohol in the group too
#36
none in milton keynes... tht sucks..... but still a good deal for all the lucky ones...!
#37
Great idea, damn shame on lack of participating venues.

Surely you should be voting for the quality of the deal and not your personal views of the company :?

Annoying isn't it? There's so many people on here who don't know how to use the site.
People saying stuff like "voted cold cos the nearest shop to me is 50 miles away"
or "voted cold because I'm not into horror films" when someone posts evil dead on dvd for a quid.

Personal tastes and views shouldn't come into it whether a deal is value or not.

Queue the onslaught of flames:whistling:
