Trial a magazine from Magazine Group (they had 3 trial issues for £1) but going through quidco get £4.80 so £3.80 profit and so far for me it has tracked. Not that confusing i will list the offers i found on a quick look on the site below

Also the week is prices as 6 FREE Trial issues on there website but i didn't want to risk this as it was quite lightly that it wouldn't track as no money was spent?

Mens Health
Mens Fitness
Octane
Evo
Delicous
The Week
Health and Fitness
iCreate
Corel Painter
Marie Claire
In Style
Look
Photoshop Creative
Woman and Home
I think there are others but i dont want to search, Also don't forget to cancel your direct debits once you are payed or after the trial period. Do correct me if this wont work (though it seems too)

i am confused as on the site in small print it says u can only have these offers as long as u agree to 12 month contract so if u cancel DD will they then mail u for money etc, seems a bit risky to me
#2
You get all of the trial offers agreeing to the 12 month contract its the normal thing and then you just cancel it.
#3
Yup, tried it myself and have received a free toolkit a while back, with free quidco money, as long as you cancel the DD then you are perfectly safe.
#4
I already did that on the second issue i think it was thanks for the reasurance :D
#5
Thanks for this, see if i can increase my Quidco accont for 2008

Cheers

I use this one regularly but always wait until the cashback recieved and the sub cancelled, works every time!
#7
When you get the quidco money and then cancel the DD do you need to ring the magazine group and tell them or do they just stop sending you mags when they realise the DD has been cancelled?

Also i dont see the word "trial" on their website against this £1 for 3 issues thing so how can we be sure they wont hold us to the 12 month term??
#8
Quidco state that they don't pay out on the £1 subscriptions or trials.
#9
Whenever a magazine says that the minimum term is 12 months (as opposed to being a trial):
While it's true that if you simply cancel a DD, they are *very* unlikely to pursue you for the rest of the 12 month subscription, the people who say that they could, theoretically, pursue you for it are not wrong.
You are, in effect, taking advantage of the fact that the cost of trying to make you pay up is too high to be worth it.

It's the same as if you signed up to Sky or Virginmedia for 12 months and cancelled your direct debit after a couple of months - they could simply cut off your television service, or, if they want to, they could continue the service and harrass you for the money.

whoop, whoop, hopefully this will work, some cheap reading for my hols... great find,

even if the quidco doesnt work - 3 magazines for £1 x 2

great find :0)
#12
if thats the case.

you still have 3 great magazines for only £1

but, have noticed if u go for mens health and want an annual subscription -

look down the list

one says £4.50 (magazine group)

the other says £6.50 (quality magazines - mens health) on this link you can not subscribe to the trial offer.

just something worth watching!!

This has worked several times before so go for it.
#15
This is stated under the photoshop mag

Try Photoshop Creative with 3 issues for £1 (when paying by direct debit). If you're not 100% satisfied, simply cancel your subscription before your 3rd issue and pay no more money.

This better track in my quidco. Have never had any luck with quidco tracking even though everything is fine at my end.

Cheers 4 the deal ;)
#17
Cool! :D
Lets hope I remember to cancel this.
#18
**** I didn't allow popups! :(
#19
So far over the last few months I have had 6 subscriptions from this site, all of the Quidco has tracked and been paid and DD was cancelled just after money was taken each time. No problem at all.
:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Did it instantly show up for anyone?
#21
My quidco has always tracked on the magazine deals, then has been withdrawn before I even cancelled the DD

#25
Has anyone had the money showed up anywere in there quidco account?
#26
well im not too bothered about quidco, i went for 3 issues of pc pro dvd edition for £1. i'm happy with that :)
#27
If i cancel it now will I still recieve my 3 magazines?
#28
Just signed up for Delicious magazine as is it 3 issues for £1.

"Subscribe to delicious, the popular food magazine now and pay just £1 for the next three issues - that's an 89% saving on the cover price. After that, if you enjoy the magazine, your subscription will automatically continue at the low rate of £16.99 every six issues."

So I will contact them after the three issues and say I didn't enjoy the magazine so am cancelling it.

Was dubious about doing this with the quidco but seems to be working for others so nothing to lose (except £1!)
