Looks to be a good deal, you'll get many more views if you put the retailer and price in the title.
#3
Just bought one for the kids. Good deals

Thanks

Thank you JamboNo1 and welcome to HUKDs! An excellent first post, keep them coming! I have edited the title to include the merchant.

Shame it doesn't come with snooker balls too, but still voted hot, it looks pretty sturdy having watched the product video on Ebuyers site.

Very good price.
#6
Looks great, ordered one. Originally priced at £99.99.

Also just noticed this - "NOW WITH FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON THIS ITEM"
#7

#8
If I had the space I would buy it !
#9

WOW! I've been after an affordable table like this since forever.

And I now have the room for one!!!!

Snapped one up - big up OP!

P.S. Nice video too, the girl was enough to sell it for me. What a cutie - wouldn't mind showing her a 4th use for this table! <3
#13
Man I'd love this but there's no way I'm getting this up 3 flights of stairs :( nice spot though. the alternate pool/snooker table at £60 is also pretty good - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129176
#14
This hasn't expired BTW, there is 200 in stock for next day delivery!!
#15
200 more back in stock for anyone who missed it this morning.
#16
I wouldn't bother if you live in N.Ireland: -

£56.98 postage ;).

Bit annoying that its free for the mainland, surely it can't be £56.98 more to N.Ireland?

SCAM ALERT:
I ordered one last night and all the way through the ordering it said free delivery apart from the last screen. The final screen added about £21 to the price for delivery?! I thought this was a mistake so I ordered it anyway and called them this morning to enquire.

Now Im told that it although it says 'free' delivery the small print says its too big to be delivered free hence the additional cost. Therefore Im wondering what exactly is free delivery about this deal ?

Anyone else have this extra cost added to the price? I think it came in around £61.

I took screenshots of each screens which clearly show the price to pay £40.39 with free delivery. Any idea of what to do next?

Hmm.. interesting. I didn't see anywhere about a delivery charge and the checkout screen was 100% clear in stating FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY (it was actually the default option!)

Could you direct us to the 'small print' where it states otherwise? I paid via PayPal and paid the £40-odd quid.

If they do try and charge you I'd dispute it as there's absolutely nothing to say it's anything BUT free delivery. Free del is plastered all over it - on the item description, basket, checkout.

If eBuyer have ****ed up with their courier they shouldn't try and leave it to the customer to pay the price!!

From Ebuyer:

Dear James
I have looked into this for you and it is the weight that exceeds the free delivery.
You have not been charged for the next day delivery you have been charged for the weight of the item.
This does state this in the terms of conditions of free delivery

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Kind Regards

Then Another:

Dear James
I am sorry for this inconvenience I do understand your frustration and annoyance.
However it does state in our terms and conditions for free deliver any items over 65kg there will be a charge as it would class as a two man delivery.

Again I do apologise
Kind Regards

Wow, what a bit of bad luck!!!

I think that's awfully misleading of ebuyer. Whether or not their TOS state a weight this item is plastered with free delivery. I just added it to my basket again, went to the checkout and noticed: Cart Weight: 0.00Kg (with shipping offer) - this looks to be an error in itself.

You also get free delivery if you choose the Super Saver option or in fact ANY option that isn't Saturady delivery. No weight costs show up at any point in the checkout process and exactly where does ebuyer state "Read our TOS about weight" on the item description?!

I've never had any problems with eBuyer but I'll be cancelling my order if they don't fix yours - I really don't want to be hit with a £21-50 charge after it's all gone through!
#21
Ive just emailed them to cancel the order. Theres no way Im paying 60% of the product price to have it shipped.

Good luck to everyone. Hopefully you get it at £40.39.

Bad luck mate, I'll be doing the same if they hit me with this charge.

For £21 or whatever it is you think they'd have City Link carry the damn thing up the stairs for you. I'm assuming CL wouldn't be so willing!
#23
LOL it clearly states free delivery on the item page! Stupid ebuyer.
#24
Just ordered one:

Shipping £0.00
Subtotal £34.37
VAT £6.02
Order Total £40.39

I didn't have that problem! Said shipping £0.00 and even had "FREE NEXT DAY DELIVERY" as a delivery option. Interesting.. :)

Thanks for the deal, voting hot
#25
Did you order via Ebuyer, Paypal or Google Checkout? I think its only via Ebuyer that they hit you with it.
#26
Mine looks Ok at the min as well:

Shipping method: Next Day Deliveryat:£0.00

Subtotal: 34.37
VAT total: 6.02
------------
Total: 40.39

I paid via Ebuyer I guess, I paid directly with my card.
#28
They've now taken down "free delivery" from the product description and placed "£42.00 minimum delivery charge" in bright red letters if you add it to your basket. Clearly they screwed up somewhere and have just realised it. This has happened hours AFTER I placed my order so if I get hit with this charge I'll not be pleased.

Could I ask - if ebuyer charge me an extra £42 can I just plain refuse to sign for the goods? I assume I could try and do a PayPal dispute but we all know just how incompetent and slow PayPal are.

I've spent hundreds if not thousands of pounds at ebuyer over the years and would hate to see them try and screw me over on an amount which probably means nothing to them.

If anyone tries to buy this now you're going to be charged between £49 and £60 delivery from what I can see - a price which just makes the order completly meaningless to start with. NO ONE is going to pay that for delivery unless they're paying a premium to have the damn thing set up for them!!!

A mod should now add this charge to the thread title!
#29
yes it looks like they did a mistake but i ordered mine last night and it did come with del charge but that went away when i did 2 day del. so i only paid £40 pounds total and payment has through so they should not charge for postage now. Have to wait till tuesday i guess.
#30
Mines been dispatched, total charged £40.39 (Free next day shipping).

Surely I can't be charged extra now as I have an email confirmation stating that.
#31
Just ordered one myself the free delivery came up when i logged in i took screen shots of each page with the price on including the final payment page for visa so theres no arguing can't see how they could take more than what it says on the visa payment page.
#32
Update just checked with my visa company and ebuyer have taken the £40.39p so all ok here.
Also been despatched should be here tomorrow.
#33
Got mine yesterday, absolutely superb, the quality of the build is really excellent, can't fault it at all.
#34
Just arrived i'm amazed how good it is for £40 took 3 of us to get it through the door i'm in trouble when the wife gets home lol.
#35

#36
:(

Ebuyer cancelled and refunded me. For shame.

To those who got it - shoot a round for us less-fortunate buyers!

Mine got cancelled when paying through Google Checkout, but going through Ebuyer payment route seems to have been accepted and payment taken. Fingers crossed.
#38
The box it came in was in shreds the city link guy was livid should be a two man lift.Mine has a couple of marks on the wood suround but i'm not gonna complain at £40.Its just a shame the table tennis part doesn't cover right to the edge then with a table cloth on it would make a big table.
#39
did 2 ppl not pick up you table when it got posted? its impossible for one person to pick i up. mine was put on a trolly wheel and abit 2 ppl carried it thy where like moving side to side alot as well hmm
#40
I would think two people at the city link depot put it in the van, if i had not been in to help him the delivery guy would have just taken it back.
