This deal was posted last month but this is a new link and offer code.

How big is the USB?
#3
Keep in mind that magazine comes every two weeks. So you should cancel before 6 weeks to avoid charge.

I think it's 128mb as I got one via the last CA deal, unless rayman knows something i don't :)
#5
Well actually

The payment schedule will be:
1 payments of £ 0.03 covering 1 Months
thereafter payments of £ 11.95 to be taken every 6 Months

So I am cancelling ASAP. Thanks for the memory key OP.

for all those involved, just cancel the DD when the 1st promotion payment has been taken (in this case 3p)

Cancelling a DD is confirmation that you won't be following on with normal subscription

Trust me i've been doing this for ages now and never had a problem
#7
Brilliant. i love these cheap trial subs.

Thanks - Heat & Rep added...

I will take 3p for deposit to my bank.
Hope to do it before the next direct debit date.... LOL

Would you trust computer hardware / software reviews in a magazine that claims a 128Mb stick is worth that much? If they are still quoting prices from five years ago for their free gifts, chances are their reviews are out of date too.

So they've inflated the value slightly to make it seem more attractive.. its still only 3p!!
#19
just signing up, cheers OP

Is it better putting the sub on my bank account or credit card, which is easier to cancel.

In addition, does anybody know when the free gift will be sent out? i.e. will it be with the first issue?
#20
It says i will be charged on the 19th of this Month, should i cancel the subscription after I have been charged the 3p? I take it i should phone my bank to cancel the subscription.
#21
Got mine on the last offer....showed up a few days later...not worth the money they quote, but for 3p a nice little stocking or Christmas Cracker filla ...LOL:santa:

That's not my point. My point is if they think a 128Mb data stick is worth £15, then the information in their magazine is likely to be useless. If they review something and say it is good value, are they to be trusted?

In fairness, just about every company inflates the RRP of freebies, if they stated "Free USB key worth 99 pence", it would look rather pathetic. Calls into question their marketing budget rather than the credibility of the magazine.
#26
how do you go about cancelling the subscription?

I imagine the hardware and software reviews aren't done by their marketing team.

I used to get CA, some things are a bit Noddy in it but overall it isn't bad and often shows a few useful tips and decentish reviews.

Dont forget Quidco!!! 0.3p -10% = 2.7p - Bargain!!

(I wonder just how many will check:))

Small though it may be it will be ideal for storing all those account numbers and passwords and if encrypted keeps them very secure.

Went for it anyway so thanks.

The trick, legal, is to cancel the Direct Debit after the 3p has been debited; legally speaking, you've fulfilled you're end of the contract as you've paid consideration and they are now bound to provide you with the goods, despite you seemingly breaking a non-existent obligation to keep your subscription active.

You paid for three issues and a memory key, you will get that, no more and no less - if the latter, you can seek a remedy via unjustified enrichment (i.e. if you cancel and get no magazines and key, but am out of pocket for three pence)

I didn't see anywhere on the "computer active" offer the claim that the stick is worth £15.

In my opinion it was "rayman" who is the originator of this thread, who made this valuation. I take it that he meant that the 3 issues + the stick are a combined saving of £15 when only paying 3p.
