Is it just me or is the link not working
#10
Working ok on firefox - although did need to click on the 'loading' text. Maybe a prob with the HUKD affiliate link.

It says "I understand that I can write to cancel within my 3 issue for £1 period and no further money will be debited from my account. My 3 issues will be mine to keep whatever I decide. "

can i just cancel by canceling direct debit or do i have to write as stated? thanks for an answer!
#12
I usually just cancel mine online [with my bank]. The bank should then automatically advise them.

Maybe not the most courteous way to go about it, but seems to work for me OK :)
#13
Nice one. I have no idea how to get the best from my new Sony A200, so this is just what I need.
#14
No always contact them to unsubscribe or they could send some nasty guys round.
Btw be careful I've subscribed with dennis mags in the past I only got 1 of the 3 they said, and had to pay the full subscription to get the rest. Luckily it was a mag i wanted to keep
#15
Evo magazine has the same deal, one for the petrol heads!

Hi,

I'm new to these forums. As it's an immediate £1 debited from my account, shall I cancel the DD now, or when I receive my 3rd copy or before?

Please let me know what you advise??

Thanks .... Great deal!
#17
Did people receive an email to confirm? As I subscribed yesterday, but received no email... So wondering if I did something wrong?

Prob best to wait until after 2nd issue delivered as they get notified when you cancel a DD.

....and Men's Fitness too. A good one for the New Years Resolutions!

i had a pcpro 3 issues for a squid and after i got my 3rd issue i emailed them to cancel and also cancelled mt DD, and that worked fine. got a nice + efficient email back confirming the cancellation, etc.

I'm a subscriber. Great mag. Some really good subscription deals for those who like it. May i suggest the Crumpler Bag deal. £39.99 for a year sub, and the bag, worth £35.99 anyways.

The deal I have seen is Crumpler XXL and 12 month subscription for £35. I'm tempted to get that, sell the bag for £25 and have a nice 80p/issue subscription!
Is the magazine worth it for a beginner photographer or is it all hardware reviews and full of adverts?

Hehe, no.

HTH :)

I've had about 6 of these subscriptions in the past few months, I always wait a couple of days after the £1 direct debit comes out of my bank before canceling the the direct debit, then straight away email them to "][email protected] asking them to cancel the subscription. Just make sure you give them your subscription number, you can find it on subsinfo.co.uk if you haven't yet recieved your password click the forgot password link. It doesn't matter how soon you cancel they will still send you the rest of the free mags! =]

Hot deal thanks I shall order this one too!
#25
Great deal and with quidco it means it's practically free!! It says £5.80 for all new subscriptions so does this count? If so they pay you £4.80 for 3 copies!!

It's in the actual Mag and letters they send you. I'd get the 3 issues for £1 first, then once they are up, cancel DD on just before 3rd.

Recent offers they sent me. ALL INCLUDE 12 ISSUE SUBSCRIPTION TOO!

Offer 1
Portrait & Landscape Workshops complete series on CD (Worth £14.99). - £29.99

Offer 2
Velbon CX 460mini tripod (worth £25). - £32.99

Offer 3
Crumpler Pretty Boy XL Camera Bag (Worth £40 - i opted for this, and it is a pretty good bag. Can fit a SLR body, a few lenses and even more in it!) - £34.99

Offer 4
2 YEAR subscription for just £39.99

Offer 5
£25 for 12 issues

All great deals, and it is a good mag too  Hope this helps! I'd recommend the bag though if you need one.

Best to always wait until you receive your third issue [or whatever] before cancelling the DD ;-)
#29
Be careful! I've had problems with cancelling a dennis mag subscription in the past. Of course be courteous and let them know you wish to cancel. I did this in good time but my request was ignored. I was furious when I found my bank account was debited and you wouldn't believe the hassle I had trying to get my money back from them.

To guarantee having the 3rd issue obviously means cancelling after receiving it. Do this as soon as possible and let them know that you will be cancelling the DD with your bank. This way you should (hopefully) avoid any unpleasantries. Personally, I'm not going to risk it as I've recently suffered a Setanta experience.

Once a company has a DD link to your bank account, never trust them to cancel, only you can do that!

THIS IS THE BEST THING FOR A SONY A200 WORTH EVERY PENNY

Thanks for that info.

Quidco tracked for me on 2 of the 3 new subscriptions I took (members are limited to 2 per month) So I am making £4.80 to get 3 issues :-)

Thats wicked, cheers Lester

Some news in magazine groups t+cs.

http://www.magazine-group.co.uk/terms

7.If you pay for your subscription by Direct Debit you are automatically protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. A copy of this should be sent to you by the publisher of the magazine/s you have selected along with the details of the date of the first direct debit from your account and the frequency and amount of subsequent payments. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank and/or the publisher.
#34
If its like the other Dennis subs then cancel and there's usually another £1 off available. I get 10 issues of a £7/month mag for £4 and the other 2 month's generally aren't worth buying anyway :)
#35
Cheers mate. Heat and rep coming your way.

Thanks Ajay
