The toolkit is very good. I didn't like the mag though. Much prefer PC Advisor.

:p:p:p ;-)

Mags are always going to be a question of personal taste. As for the toolkit, I had a couple with subscriptions and they realy are crap. The cutters dont cut and the screw driver heads dont last 5 minutes. Apart from that there all right :)
#8
for gods sake, dont give them your phone number ( i made that mistake) cos they are always phoning offering more offers and dont like 'no' for an answer
#9
Agreed. Never give them your phone number. I have received 10-20 telephone calls selling their digital photography mag.

While the toolkit isn't overly stunning, i've hade one for a year or two now and mines still in great nick.

I've actually put wardrobes together using it lol. Mind you i did lose some skin from my hands after the 3rd straight hour.

So you can't phone them up and cancel this then, you have to write to them :w00t:
#12
I got this last year, cancelled the Direct Debit after the £1 had been taken and ended up with 15 copies :giggle:

If they ring you can always try the Liam Neeson approach......(and i'm paraphrasing here).....

"If you ever ring me again, I will look for you. I will find you. And, I will kill you."

toolkit is rubbish. Smells like a heap of toxic waste.
But how to complain for £1?

I agree! I used to order PC Pro, but PC Advisor is a tad better and much better at keeping ongoing information current, e.g. the best graphics card or what you should get if you spend on a desktop in the £600 range. PC Pro has an A list which they may or may not update a component depending on whether they do a review of something in that category. Not so good really for someone that wishes to keep up-to-date on best or best price/performance ratio items for PC building.

I just wish that all magazines have an option to drop the cover CD/DVD and be able to get the magazine cheaper. Gone are the days of crappy bandwidth such that you need them to put WinZip on a disc for you.

I like magazines like GamesTM where they say 'sod the demo disc - lets get more content in there'. Saves on postage costs - more value for money because of more articles.

Voted cold. The mag is a waste of time, and I never received my toolkit when I tried the same offer a year ago.

Now I get it free and instant on the net :) On a serious note, I just don't get time to read and investigate this sort of thing any more. I learned a valuable lesson that technology changes faster than my wallet can keep up!

When do you receive your toolkit?

I would want to post off to them as soon as I got it as I don't want the mag really, it's a bonus, and considering you HAVE to write to them to cancel it I'd rather not rely on snail mail to save me £19.99...

Just cancel the DD via online banking, like people have said here and on the other 100's of previous posts for this offer and similar. Ive done it over 10 times before, never once wrote a letter.

I took up this offer last year or 18 mths ago and received the tool-kit without any problems and cancelled without any problems.

However, if you purely want the tool-kit (the one in the picture is identical to the one sent to me), bear in mind an identical toolkit (down to the packaging) is or was sold by Poundworld (not Poundland, although they might be part of the same group).

Spare youself the hassle of cancelling the subscription and buy the same toolkit for a quid.

ordered cheers, so cancel the dd after the 3 issue right?
