I was looking for magazine deals and found this, 3 issues of Stuff magazine for £1, its not a direct debit deal, just a 1 payment of £1 inc. delivery for the next 3 issues.

Possible 8% Quidco too.

THE CREDIT CARD OPTION HAS NOW BEEN TAKEN DOWN (Looks like we were abusing it :p)
YOU CAN STILL PAY BY DIRECT DEBIT BUT YOU WILL BE SUBSCRIBING TO THE MAGAZINE.
IF YOU CANCEL YOUR DIRECT DEBIT AFTER THEY TAKE THE £1 YOU WILL STILL GET THE MAGAZINES AND NO LONGER BE BOUND TO A SUBSCRIPTION.

Get 3 issues for £1 with this Stuff magazine subscription special offer

Pay just £1 for your first 3 issues - followed by £19.99 every 6 issues by direct debit.

so it DOES mean that they will debit your card/ direct debit for £19.99 if you don't cancel after the first 3 issues.... worth it if you don't mind the hassle of cancelling direct debit I suppose, but not for me.
#13
Nice one! Had a similar deal for T3 last year, but I prefer Stuff.
#14
Every time i click continue at the checkout i get....
WARNING: You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding !

[*]Card Number is not a valid credit card number.[/LIST]I am using maestro.
Anyone else having trouble?

Just choose the credit card payment option. No subscription there.

No you only have to cancel if you sign up a direct debit, if you pay by card its classed as a ONE off payment, normally it more expensive to pay this way, but as this deal is £1 for card also thats why its HOT!

By paying with credit card you dnt agree to any contract or subscription.. theres 2 options direct debit and credit card.

They can only take a credit card payment once, you can't do subscriptions with credit cards.. THIS IS 100% SAFE.

There is two boxes to add to checkout. One is direct debit and one is credit card.
I dont think they can charge your credit card for a subscription just because you've used it to pay £1 for three issues.
Or maybe someone can clarify if i'm wrong.

Click the 'pay with credit card' option - £1.00 and they cannot take any further amounts after the trial:thumbsup:

I'm hoping you're right! it doesn't ask for bank details anyway so they will struggle to get it by DD! also says "every 3 issues" under the DD option whereas card option leaves the "every" out.
#24
I am pretty sure they can take money from your card every 3 months if they like. I pay for a couple of things on a regular credit card payment, they just take it every month. I'd be checking the small print before signing up!
#25
Just ordered with Visa (as some reported maestro not working)

Thanks :-) Voted hot!

Can't believe quidco payment has gone down so much, used to be £5.80. I normally do 2 of these a month.

I suspect a VISA Debit would work just fine, although I elected to use MC instead of my VD (s******).
