The above comment is rubbish as this cable will perform just a well as any £25 counterpart.
1.4a means it will support 3D as well.
Good + Fast = Expensive
Fast + Cheap = Inferior
Nah not true at all, i work in an electrical store and wont see people buying cables silly prices, the only thing you get more out of an expensive cable (in general) is build quality, I have been working off a £2.50 cable for just over a year and it's spot on, 3d looks awesome. a digital signal is a digital signal, its either OFF or on, not fuzzy inbetween. gold plated stuff rages me out too.
if you want to upset your local *insert generic electrical store that sells pointless stuff to the unsuspecting cutomer HERE*
then ask if you can see one of the budget cables running against the expensive one next to eachother in similar or the same tv, if not ask to see it on the one tv and change the cables. Some might do it but they will talk over the expensive on saying how bright and clear it is, brainwashing sales pitch, watch them nod while they are telling you the benefits too, it's a reasuring nod that is.
Point being even IF there was a difference, if you cant see it then there is no point. Just be careful when shopping, that goes for any item. oh and by the way. I don't sell stuff like that it does my head in.

V1.3 cables also support 3D, they found out that the versions 1.3 and 1.4 made no difference on 3D capability it works on my PS3.
Was going to share that link too...
