Why? Is 3 not very good? Is Vodaphone much better?

What are the conditions of this? Will you be contracted to top-up £20 every month without fail?

Yes they can be unlocked, ive posted a link in the other thread to where I have hosted the files for you all to download,

But here you go again, all files and instructions in one download

CLICKYY

all clean as I uploaded them myself (made a killing on this on ebay for a few days at a fiver a time for these files, made about £80 all in)

3 credit expires after 30 days, Vodafone doesn't
I can't say which is better, as I've never used Vodafone, but 3 (IME) drops it's connection too often

I had Vodafone and O2, but their 3G coverage is limited (OK, they offer good 2G reception but then you barely get modem speed), now with three and far better 3G coverage.

Check this Ofcom report, you'll get my point

got a iphone sim off ebay for £1.95 just cant get the dongle now
#29
Has anyone gotten this to work ?
Because now three people (inc. me) have reported this as not working.
#30
well tried with 3 diffrent browsers now, even tried without my firewall in case that was blocking it or someting but still not working, think they have a real problem with their site codeing.
#31
forget it, ill come back here in an hour and see if anyone has gotten it to work.
#32
Got mine last time, unlocked and working fine. Comes in handy as daughter has a pc in the bedroom for gaming and doesn't have internet up there, we got her a Tv USB stick and we needed drivers. So we could have fetched it downstairs but it was easier popping the dongle in. 5 mins and jobs a goodun! For the p&p it is well worth it .
#33
Got this last time it was on offer, been away a couple of times in last 3 weeks and worked ok, put £15 credit on and got 3 gb data which lasts 30 days. Guess it depends whether there is 3 coverage in the area you are in.Might unlock it and get a vodafone sim as no time limit for using data allowance.
#34
I unlocked mine, stuck a different 3 sim in my mobile, topped it up with £10 and got 150mb free net, 600 free texts and free 3 - 3 calls for 90 days and paid £5 out of my top up for a web bolt on that lasts 30 days but still got credit for another. Not used the 150mb net allowance as was just checking emails, a few drivers etc.
#35
Do not buy this if you are hoping to use it with another providers mobile internet sim, you cannot get hold of them without buying a modem too. To rephrase: You cannot buy this with intention of using e.g. Vodafone as even when you have unlocked this you cannot get a hold of a Vodafone mobile internet sim. If I am wrong please tell me where I can buy one thanks, I know this to be true for Vodafone so if anyone knows if other networks provide mobile internet sims seperately please say so.

If you are looking to get this unlocked to use with a normal mobile sim on another network (e.g. your contract/ pay go sims internet bundle etc) then yes this will work

have you bought one yourself only to find out its just a regular pay & go sim which technically can be used as a "mobile broadband 3G sim"? thats my worry it doesnt really say much.
#38
Still throwing an error for me. I will try again in the morning.
#39
Not working for me either, same log in error

You can get a normal 3 sim for free here:
https://www.three.co.uk/Pay_As_You_Go/Free_SIM

These can also be topped up with £5 which can be used to buy 50p per day internet add ons, as and when you need them. The £5 credit never expires until it's used up.

Another option is to buy an 02 iPhone sim off ebay for a few £s, top up with £10 and enjoy 12 months free internet!
