If it's the same as this, then it should be valid for 3 months.

I know the 3gb sim can be picked up cheaper elsewhere,the quote I gave was expansys price,think it's about £12 on amazon but haven't checked

That's just one person saying they couldn't get their's to work with a Vega. There are far more involved discussions if you google further.
