EDIT: Noted that this is a 6 month minimum term so even better!!

Here is a good deal from 3 in their clearance section, works out at £12.22 per month

Free Sony Ericsson Z610i (refurb but always come mint in box)

Tarrif: £20 Texter, 1000 texts and 100 anytime, any network minutes.

18 months @ £20pm but you get

£50 credit when ordering online
£60 if you go via Quidco
£30 credit with refer a friend

In summary:

18 x £20pm = £360
- £50 credit
- £60 quidco
- £30 RAF

= £220 for the 18 month term.

This then equates to £12.22 per month.

Not bad at all.

If anyone needs a 3 mobile number to qualify for the refer a friend then please PM me and I will give you my number.

Also see if the accessory vouchers might work.

With just 100 mins a month on 18 month contract, they expect you to go over the allowance & spend a fortune. Good deal if you can stay within it :)

I dont think this is a great offer - rubbish phone - i would say mix and match 1100 for £20 is better.
#3
yeh there are usually 2 price plans, texter and 1 if you call alot. not often many people will need alot of both.
#4

Also, if you start to apply, enter your email address etc but quit before you put payment in, they will email you with a code to put in, which will get you accessories voucher worth £20. I got this quite by accident and got a headset free with it.

It is an 18month contract but if you buy this phone you can cancel after 6 months - I think thats how it works - ask customer servcies they will tell you.

not worth the gamble lol already in an 18month contract with 3, have about 7months left, but this contract would suit me better and if it was free, would be worth it.

I am asking - im sure this is the case

I will post the conversation when I have finished.

I'm took up an 18 month contract with 3 and after 18 months was going to cancel, they then offered me the same deal as I was getting - 150 mins, 750 texts, 25 media, 25 video & £5 downloads - for £10 a month plus a new phone. Needless to say I stuck with them and i'm happy to go another 18 months!

[matt] I am thinking of buying the sony ericsson z610iR on the £20 texter plan which includes £50 cashback - it says before you click through that it is a 6 month minimum term contract but when you click through it states 18 month then doesnt say anything else - can you help please.
[Srinivas] hello matt
[Srinivas] yes i ll help you on that
[Srinivas]

This is a fantastic offer which allows you to take out an 18 month contract and we will allow you to cancel the contract after just 6 months if you wish. This offer is available on two great handsets, The LG U300 and the Skype handset. Both of the handsets are free. This can be used with the Mix and Match 300 and Mix and Match 500 tariffs.

[matt] what about the S/E z610iR it says on the website that it is available for this too on the £20 texter tarriff
[Srinivas] so you can cancel the contract after 6 months , you don't need to wait for 18 months
[Srinivas] that would be for 18months
[matt] ok thanks - the website must be wrong then
[Srinivas] so are you planning to order now
[Srinivas] Since you've come directly online to order the phone, I can give you a promotional code for a Free accessories voucher worth £20.00 (Exclusive online offer) …. Would you like to have it?
[matt] yes please
[Srinivas] The Promotional code is HS01050809 (kindly note down the code)

lol ok, so the website is mis-leading.

Not a bad deal for a texter that's what I thought when I posted. I must make 10 minutes a month on my contract but use over 500 texts.

Don't forget I can give you my number for refer a freind if need be (as the original poster of the deal) ;)

Been with 3 for 2 years now and am very happy with them. Few probs i've had with my bill have been resolved in minutes by calling them up.

Have changed OP to note the 6 month mon term

$&*%$ - waited too long all 6 month phones off web site now:x

no the website is right but the the sales guy was not informed the the poster that the deal was about texter /clearance plan. the above deal is in texter / clearance and thats how you get £50 cashback. sales guy was talking about the normal deal like nokia 6288 which has got minimum 6 months contract. Hope i have explained it to you all:thumbsup:

its still there

OP's deal is better if you can live with a normal phone and only bother about 6 month contract.

£60 Quidco + £50 auto cashback + £20 Voucher + free Phone + free txt and min for 6 months = £130 you get

6months * £20 = £120 you pay . so the profit of £10

+ RAF 30 so profit of 40 quid - I will be amazed if they pay this out - but worth a punt - just signed up will advise in due course.

i doubt quidco will pay on 6 months contracts...
edit: i see, it is an 18month contract cancellable after 6months...BUT anyone knows if there's any penalty for cancelling after 6months? ie return or pay for handset etc...?
#30
I hope all the people offering their 3 number for the refer a friend thing end up with the same 'friendly' warning I received from the mods when I did the same thing recently.
Always though hotukdeals was a money saving website, yet it appears you can't help someone save £30 through the refer a friend thing otherwise you get a warning..... very odd indeed.

thanks for the pointer. so almost forgot

Personally I'd go for this plan anyway
http://http://threestore.three.co.uk/mixnmatchtariff.aspx?tariff=0
Unlimited texts and 500 minutes a month seems much better value for just £5.00 more a month. This is also on a 12 month tariff not 18 months which has to be a good thing. The Nokia 6500 slide is currently selling for around £120-£130 on fleabay so if you have a decent handset already you can just sell the new phone on and pay for the majority of your new contract.

link not working.

I spoke online to an assistant who confirmed that I cannot cancel my contract after 6 months, unless I go for the 300 or 500 deals.

Sadly, it's not available for the £20 texter tariff, and I wouldn't want to argue the case with them 6 months down the line!

Thanks for the post though. It's a very good deal on the other tariffs anyways!

i think you are wrong - its quite clear on the web site - and i got it confirmed by their staff.

rememer their are only two phones on the 6 month deal

I think I'm wrong as well, but I simply don't want to take the chance 6 months down the line to find out that I have another year of £20 / month, garbage tariff to go (garbage because I never text but use loads of minutes, that is; appreciate the tariff is great for some).

Shame though, as the Pink z610i would be great for the wifey!

Hey Phatboy, if you could post your findings re the T&C's when you receive I'd appreciate it. Am tempted by this deal myself :)
