The Internet is now mobile. The 3 USB modem gives you truly mobile broadband thats easy to use and wont cost you an arm and a leg. It means freedom from wires and hotspots, and access to the Internet at breakneck speeds.

Once youve got your hands on your shiny new USB modem you can be up and running in just five minutes. And when youre in a Turbo Network area youll get lightening web access speeds of up to 2.8MBps. Which means youll be able to download files at the same speed as you would at home, but without being chained to your computer. Its Internet access whenever and wherever you want.

To use your 3 USB modem youll need a few things. Your computer or laptop needs a minimum of 50MB hard disk space, 1 free USB port, a Windows 2000, XP, Vista or and Mac OSX operating system. Installation is quick and easy. And the great user-friendly Modem Manager interface not only manages your connection, it displays all the messages you receive on your mobile broadband number. You can even reply to your text messages while logged in.

where are you supposed to get it from at this price then if it is still showing £69.99 online? Maybe a misprice in the paper?!?

I will ask customer services - will update soon.

customer services have said it is IN STORE only at this time but they will follow shortly - so it would seem this is hot.

On the hardware side both 3's £99.99 ZTE and Huawei E220 dongles will sell for just £49.99 on simple Pay As You Go deals from 1 May while 18 and 24 months contacts offer an even better deal with £10, £15 and £25 bundles (providing 1GB, 3GB and 7GB of data allowance respectively) cut to a mere £5, £7.50 and £12.50. On top of this, sign up to one of these deals and the dongle is free.

It is locked to 3. Yes, online website price now reduced £20. If you want a straighforward PAYG modem without any other comittment to 3 by taking out a contract on their phones, this looks competitive.

Last week in the Trafford centre Carphone warehouse, i got a free dongle and only a 12 month contract.
I did have to haggle, but it's at the managers discretion.
A friend also did the same in Bournemouth, although he had to try three shops.

Am I missing something? Why buy the dongle when you can have the dongle free on a 18 months contract for £7.50 a month with 3?

Overall that will only cost £135 for the full 18 months with 5GB usage

Thanks
