I have been sent this offer direct Lovefilm but I am currently subscribed with them on a "come back to us and get 1 month free deal". Do you guys/gals think i would be OK cancelling my current subscription and rejoining under this offer?

Also, one of the firsrt DVDs they sent me got lot in the post. I have completed an online declaration stating that I will assist the post office with their enquiry into the matter and tell them that the dvd never arrived but I am concerned I will be charged for the missing DVD if I terminate my membership while this matter is unresolved - it's been 2-3 weeks since the disc went missing and I've still not heard anything from the post office regarding the matter

Your thought are very welcome.

Pete

P.S.

I have been on at least 4 trials with Lovefilm. There was a time when lovefilm bent over backwards to shown new members on trials just how good they were. They would log every single disc i sent back as being received the day after they were posted back by me. They would also send out new discs by return post. Those days are over. This last months trial has been appauling, discs are not logged back into the system until 2-3 days after posting and replacements are not sent out until the day after receipt - incidently, this used to be the level of service you would expect the day after your trial ended, something that used to really annoy me as Lovefilm blame the post office but you know the post office don't extent their delivery times based on when you are on a trial or not. I'd be more likely to stay with them if they were honest. I'm rambling now...

I may have to consider this as I'm running out of free trials...mind I have found Love Films has the slowest turnaround when it came to sending out another DVD...in fact I'm with them now (they do the Tesco DVD rental) and I returned a DVD last Friday and still have not received another DVD from my extensive list.

I've just terminated Tesco's trial. I was going to keep it on after the great first month's performance but the second month became dramatically slower.

How are you able to get other trials?

have been with most of these now and they all go the same way 1st month is great then they take yonks to get dvds out they tell your que isnt got enough on it and bear in mind i had over 30 titles, the dvds were coming with massive faults on them, im with screen select now and they are now starting to get the same way.

I've visited Lovefilm via the link and the signup page suggests a promotional code has to be entered. Does anyone know the promotional code for this offer? (Assuming one has to be submitted).
Oh, for those posting a reply please remember that the offer indicated is for previous customers, not new ones.

I was with Lovefilm and phoned them and complained about the slow turnaround. Was on 3 dvd's a time and had 60+ films in my list and took an age to send me 3 a week.

The guy I spoke to said that priority was given to low users. Cancelled immediately soon after.

Blockbuster has the best turn around for me. Always sending out dvd's as soon as I send one back.

I got the same 3 for 1 month email from lovefilm, 7 times today.

I would never return to them as they were terrible, they used to send me 1 or 2 rentals per week even though I was paying for the 3 at a time package.

Pity that screenselect were recently bought out by LF as screenselect were quite good.

Blockbusters are the best for me and probably the only one I will use in future.

I agree, I've just cancelled Screenselect as I didn't know that they were owned by lovefilm until they emailed me to tell me.

Check out mymoviestream, offers in the forum, they are good.

If I had to stick with one, and I've done them all, it would be Blockbuster.

blockbuster were good because if it was a 2 disc set they would send them both as 1 disc not disc 1 then disc 2 i am on the 2 months free trial with 50 titles in list and they are also very slow turnarond they get them back next day but stall when sending them out

think i will go back to blockbuster

I'm on a free trial with mymoviestream as well....early days but after 6 days I haven't had my Quidco £5 cashback tracked and they refuse any queries for this retailer...has anyone had a successful quidco tracking???

I have also received this offer. Over the past few months I have taken free trials with most of the online rental companies. I thought the turn around was best from blockbuster, cinema paradiso and 1dvd, however blockbuster wins due to its web site and extensive selection of titles.

vurt.

Still not had another DVD from Tesco (Love Films) after a week so am cancelling...my advice is to take your business elsewhere.
