Add the 3 duvets to basket, add £2.47 sim to basket for cheaper delivery ( take back sim to store for full refund, thus giving you free delivery) add £5 discount code
( see piccy in post 2) other duvets to try too on thread.

When you return sim instore (if not required) the cost is £1.00 for 3 duvet sets,is about 33p a set,and the 60 points is worth £2.40 in deals :)...now I have no clue what that works out at per duvet set :)

These will go quickly,I bet....

You buy the sim £2.47,this is delivered free with any order (cheaper than their delivery charge of £4.85) then if you dont want sim, return it to your local Tesco for full refund...ie " Sorry I bought the wrong sim"....then you get the £2.47 refunded, thus it's cost you nothing for delivery, hope this helps

Ahhh, never done that before, too lazy to wait at the CS counter, seen it mentioned so many times on Tesco Direct deals lol

Although I'll probably keep it in the car with the receipt for when I can be arsed.

Shame I would of preferred credit instead of refund.

There are alot of MSE posts and some HUKD ones about people with multiple accounts at one address/one clubcard on multiple accounts getting suspended, all non-proper points being revoked, hope you're careful.

I have asked for multiple cards but I give those to relatives to use in store (all sorts of stuff appears in my grocery favourites now it looks bizarre) who I help manage stuff, but I haven't registered a Clubcard to more than one account, too many stories of people having their points taken.

PS: I went for the pintuck natural, £4.97 charged.

Doesn't anyone else think this is unethical or is it just me?

Good idea,as i tend not to return them all at once, space them out and never had a problem returning them or any of my family :whistling:

I find buying something to get a total order discount and then taking it back to be taking the ****, personally.

I think it might just be you, going by the number of HDUKers that use this method,I'm sure tesco are aware of this and it's been happeneing for over a year or more and they have kept it going :) believe me it won't affect Tesco's profits at all.

I've bought textiles from Tesco Direct before, it's cheap chinese imported stuff (for tenants not for me thankfully), this just a work around on their sim card offer really, considering what you are getting this just works out at cost price with free delivery and considering the thousands my family has spent at Tesco and Tesco's huge profits

Guilty?
Ethics?
Tesco?

Please.

If you look through many a money saving web sites,MSE included, these glitches have been used for ever and most consumers will take advantage of this.........if I have to return items to most companies by post, they will not refund the postage on returns,so i as a consumer loose out,esp if item is faulty and not my fault ( i think this is taking the pi** personally).....but this is just my opinion,as you have voiced yours.

I added the Value Top Up sim for £5 which also qualifies for free delivery.
This has £10 of credit on, so works out at 7.5p per cross-network minute anytime.
Better to get over 2 hours calling credit for your fiver instead of paying £4.85

That's another way of getting your items delivered too, thanks for this info

Thanks for the rep guys and gals

I knew this would last long.......I think this method of using sims for delivery is called loopholes in the system and it's been going on for years at various companies.......Oh..i remember the Hoover loophole years ago....

Tesco are arguably the most unethical supermarket chain in the world.

Wallmart are 'hearts and flowers' compared to Mr T.

You can look at tescoripoff.com for better facts, or glance through this:-
http://www.foe.co.uk/resource/media_briefing/tesco_every_little_hurts.pdf

Tesco moved their registered office to avoid taxes, that's highly ethical in my view!

Got dispatched email for this, noone will be in this afternoon so we'll see what happens :)

Had mine delivered today, bargain for 33p each. One worry tho, I had a phone call about the order but I was out, so I checked my account and they have cancelled the sim card order and refunded me the £2.47, will they now charge me delivery for the duvet covers? Has anyone else had this happen?
#31
My two pintucks arrived.

Can anyone tell me if I can exchange my Tesco Value Sim £2.97 for the £5 with £10 credit in store?
#32
I ordered 3 and got call to say duvet was out of stosk and would only send 1, BUT i would get a refund for the other 2 of £16 lol.
