Just had a heads up from a member of staff at 3 with regards to the N95 8GB
As of the 1st of July (Tues) they will be selling the phone from £24 p/m on Mix and match 300

I dont know if this will be online but I have reserved a model behind the counter for Tues

Chuck £5 on top for 1GB of internet a month and I think its a good deal (£29p/m)

In my store in Farnborough:
£24 - 300 mix & match - x18 = £432
£27 - 500 mix & match - x18 = £486
£30 - 700 mix & match - x18 = £540

buy x series silver for £5 a month and get more than 1gb of internet

Good Deal, voted hot, just because the new black n95 is hard to get for free under £35 a mouth.
However THREE isnt the best network out there.

X series silver is an add on via 3 which is £5 a month and gives unlimited internet (subject to fair usage)

I was on 3 till march and went to o2 and found the o2 coverage dreadful compared to 3 particularly 3g coverage and I travel a lot with work so this was in quite a few areas so I ditched o2 under the 14 day thing and went back to 3 so i wouldnt worry about network coverage

? Fair usage is 1GB p/m

Taken from 3 terms:

Unlimited Data
Fair Use Limit: 1 GB each month
X-Series - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use ISP email and download podcasts
X-Series Silver & Gold - 1 GB should be more than enough to allow you to surf websites, use Mobile Mail and download podcasts
We will let you know by text message once you have reached the fair use limit and ask you to cease using the included data services for the remainder of the month. If you continue to use the services we may suspend your data usage until the next month. This will not impact your access to other X-Series services.

mmm reading reviews Im not sure about the N95 8Gb compared to th N95. As the original is cheap to buy now (on contract or pay as you go) I can decide if the new one is really worth the extra expense???

3 are great if you dont have to speak to them!!

Been with them for a couple of years, coverage is excellent, customer service is awful!

You could haggle a better deal... I got mix & match 500 with £5.00 worth of downloads, video & MMS as well.
#14
I've just agreed an upgrade with them for a N95 silver, 750 mins & 150 texts £16 per month.

Sorry but the Financial Ombudsman Service does not deal with complaints against your mobile provider. Think the Office of the Telecommunications Ombubudsman (otelo) might be the ticket but you'll probably need to have followed through to the end of your complaint with 3 before taking it there.

I've only ever tried haggling when it comes to renewing an existing contract, not when I'm starting as a new customer on a different network. Might have to try that one myself

Wish I had the haggle skills - I end up talking myself out of the shop. I may give it a go though....£16 is an amazing price p/m I must admit.
#18
As said before, Three are ok as long as you dont need to speak to them!! I managed to get an N95 upgrade a couple of months back, paying £15 for 300 mins, 150 text, 25mms, 25 video and £5 downloads, so fairly happy! Just hope I have no problems as their customer service is shocking!!

£24 pm plus the raf x2 and quidco makes this a good deal.

If the choice is an N95 or a 3G Iphone who is seriously going to take the nokia.

Let's be serious for a minute.

You are trying to tell us the N95 is more reliable than an Iphone?

That is pretty remarkable
banned#28
My N95 has never caused me a problem and is cheap, my friendds iphone is unreliable and is expensive. Plus I have an ipod already - think I'll stick with the N95!!

Why is it so hard to beleive that people dont rate the iphone over everything else?! :?

hahahaha  what an idiot, I'm guessing if Apple made a car you would buy it even though they have 0 years experience in building cars?
#30
thought id try my luck and see if O2 will do a beter deal on there n95 8gb package - sales on the phone just say no, phoned 2 stores and they say no. So how does everyone else do it??
#31
Get an iPhone 3G on O2....flog it on eBay...buy a Nokia 8GB....and save yourself some quids (i.e. profit). I'm sure there'll be a huge demand for offline iPhones next month when they are released.

I'm not really for or against the Iphone, but how can you say its cheap? £45 a month for 18 months or £35 for 18 months plus £99 for the phone?

If you can get the phone instore and signup after then yes that would make it a bargain, but can't see that happening this time.

You may not but your statement is nonsense especially in a UK based forum - Symbian sales have remained strong and while the new Iphone makes a couple of improvements, it's still far behind in many areas.

The thing is that the Iphone is light years ahead for some core features, specifically web browsing and Ipod functionality.

I'd expect it to be ahead in ipod functionality considering it is an apple product.

By Ipod I mean video and audio playback on the move.
