Just bought one of these. amazed at what you get for the money. Looks like it's worth at least £80. Very heavy and well finished black glass. The legs are alloy tubes that look like chrome but aren't. Quite how you import this amount of tempered glass (26kgs gross weight!) and resell it for the price is beyond me. Looks and is of very high quality.
Due to the weight postage is a hefty £12.00

Even with the postage i reckon this is a great buy compared to some of the prices for these tv stands. Just wondering-----when you get to check out it says free accessory out of stock. Any idea what this was?
#2
Voted Hot, my son just ordered one for himself. :-D

can someone tel me if you can make it half height? i.e. just miss out the middle tier? I only want a low stand a my tv is in the way of the projector image so it has to come down a bit.

You would need to buy some shorter threded bar from b&q.

The free accessory is not a free item I am afraid. The item comes in 2 parts, 1st box is the glass pieces and the second (free accessory) is the legs and other bits and pieces, its just their way of numbering the needed items.

hot! great price, currys etc charge £50 and thats when bought with.

The bars in the middle of each leg is only threaded a small amount so you could not only use half of it unless you can rethread the rest of the bars after cutting them. A great table looks good but does not have a cable tidy at the back but at this price who cares. I got it when there was a free shipping offer if you spend £50, may be worth waiting as the postage is high due to its weight !!

Ordered. Shipping was £10.22. Total including shipping £38.06. A bargain. HOT

OK. Many thanks. It says out of stock and not available for priority shipping. I ordered the 5 day working days delivery and that didnt come up so hopefully they dont send stand without legs.lol. I`ll phone them tomorrow just to clarify anyway. That`s a strange one eh!! You`d think they`d have the right amount of legs for each stand!!

I bought one with next day which indeed arrived next day. Well worth the money

Is it just me or is it not the case that the whole point of LCD's/Plasmas was that you didn't need a stand as they could be hung on the wall, out of the way?

Picture quality is not as good as CRT so if you're going to use a stand, put a decent telly on it.

i'll just ask my landlord if I can build a 45 degree wall in the corner of the room and hang my tv on it shall I?

Just ordered mine.

No, that's not the "whole point". The point of them is that they use less power, they weigh much less for a comparable size screen, they allow bigger screens to be made than a vacuum tube would realistically allow, and they're much cheaper than a comparable size CRT used to cost.

As for picture quality, it depends. My cheapo 32" LCD isn't as good as my 8 year old 29" Sony Trinitron, but those are extremes. Get a decent LCD and the argument doesn't apply.

Can someone make this clear...Is the 'free accessory' really the 'legs and other bits'???

Surely this can not be true! I want to order but do not think a piece of glass on its own will make a good stand!!!

Threded bar is about 2 quid at b&q then just cut to the size you need.

Anyone know the internal dimensions of the shelves?

I.e. the height? Need to know if my centre speaker will fit in the top one.

Ta :)

And you forgot to mention of course the biggest reason of all. HD :)

Well, just to clarify the `free item` in the order screen. I phoned them and right enough the stand comes in 2 boxes so this `free item` is part of the stand. They confirmed on the phone that this IS in stock so all is well. They also told me that my order is coming tomorrow.!!!! Fabulous!!! I never even asked for quick delivery.

Or cut the original threaded bars down to the length you need.

I'd say they're 150mm.

Ordered 1, they seem to be selling fast!
Resent paying 10 quid delivery on something that costs 27

Or cut the original threaded bars down to the length you need.

the original bars are only threaded for 75mm at each end - so that gives you approx 135 mm to reduce them in total, not much is need to thread into the top shelf. The bottom is a hard plastic plate within the bottom leg to which you put a washer and nut. - otherwise buy a length fully threaded.
The gap between each shelf is just shy of 190mm so you really wouldn't want to reduce more than a total of 135mm (62mm reduction each shelf gap?) anyway or it would look odd?

Would it be appopriate for my 50 inch Panasonic plasma? It' certainly big enough to take the footprint of the telly's stand, so I guess it comes down to what weight it can support.

At this price, probably worth a punt!

But what if it collapses and ruins your plasma?

i want ot order this stand "free accessory out of stock" does this mean i get no legs!?!?
#32
When I ordered it I was confused by the 'free accessory' that was out of stock. As I didn't know what it was I didn't worry. These posts have explained it all to me!
= this is a weird and confusing way of Ebuyer saying it comes in two boxes.
Rest assured even though my free accessory was out of stock - it did come with the extra box!
If Ebuyer look at these posts they really ought to find a better way of listing it as coming in two boxes!

As to the width and weight capacity - it is 1m wide, which is big. I don't think you need a stand that matches the width of your LCD, if it overhangs evenly so what? You do need a medium to large room to use this stand- lat out newspapers 1 meter wide x 1/2 meter deep on the floor to see if it is too big.
It is far larger than it looks in the photo.
My 37" fits end to end (ooh err missus), it would not be out of place on one 150mm smaller. From that I would think this ideal for a 42" set.
Given it is so strong I would (risk) putting a 50" on it........ ( you could always put a small prop in the middle shelves!)
#33
Better get in there quick if you are considering buying this. Only EIGHT left according to their website. When this post first went up they had 97 in stock so I reckon they`ll be sold out this morning. Mine is due to arrive today so I`ll be able to get it set up before my new telly arrives on monday. Got both deals from posts on here. Great site. Thanks to all.

I see they do a stand to fit 42in to 50in tvs for £29.99. With supersaver delivery it brings it to around £44.Dont know if thats any good to you.

Or cut the original threaded bars down to the length you need.

They are only threded an inch at each end, so you would need to buy a tool to re-thred them or buy new bars.
