Freezing COLD

You can easily pick up 1 year subscription including dongle for £70-£90 on ebay
Why would you want one of these for £40?

Because you are talking about a normal dongle.
You cant connect phones, ipods or any other thing that uses wifi to a dongle.

I would still fork out an extra tenner for the new one.

At the Three store, you can get the new modal for £49,99 + £10 top up.

If anyone has a nokia smart phone (maybe other OS's as well) then a program called "joikuspot" will do this for you. You can even get on skype because it seems to use a different port on laptops. I don't work for them but i do use the software all the time. It drains the battery like mad, though. Better go and get that veho pebble that was on here the other day!

So this isn't one of those Mi-Fi things then, it looks like one ???
Sorry, just looked properly and it is Mi-Fi , I thought that meant you could use it as a router, connect multiple devices and share the mobile connection ....
Or do i have this all wrong ??

Torby you've used this model?? Give you review on its good and bad to help us out. I use O2 dongle on netbook while away and was looking at this option so the itouchs etc can use the net as well. We go on a boat and yjis could sat high up for signal.

I use one for a wi-fi connection for my iPad. It does the job, and there is a firmware update out there which makes things run smoother.

I believe they can be hacked to run any sim in them, as the 3 network around me is pretty poor outside of town centre.

what's the difference between this model and the new one that's due out? i presume if i have a 3mobile dongle i can take the sim out and use it with this?

i'm sure i saw instructions for unlocking it to other networks just the other day, have a quick google and you should find it

Read what ive said again and it will all become clear, the other guy was talking about a normal dongle for £70 odd quid for the year, they dont send out a wifi hotspot.

This does, its like comparing a pint of strongbow to a good wine.

The new one has a better interface, none of the holding multiple buttons to make it work, it doesnt cut out after a certain amount of time, you have the web based interface, you can charge it whilst using it, its smaller and lighter, the battery lasts longer and a few other features, plus the new one looks a lot sleeker if looks matter to you.

Some of these problems can be fixed on the old model by doing an update but loads of people have bricked their mifi's doing it.

Yes you can just use your existing sim in it.

If you do a google for three mifi 2 theres quite a few reviews about the new one

This allows the connection to be shared between 5 WiFi devices.

care to give an example of an item number where this type of item sold with 1 year subscription for the price your quoting?

Search completed items for the model number, prices seem to be anything from £50 - £80 without any bundle
