wow what snobbery, I consider Pepsi the worse brand and totally horrid. Just cos it has Tesco on the bottle makes it cheap and **** ? But I bet if 5 different brands of cola was put on test, Tesco would not come out last by far.

I think the days of badly tasting cola's are almost over, not like it was 20 years go.

I thought it sounded bad, but since the OP says it tastes like Dr Pepper I'll probably give it a go! :)

Heat added.

i remember the awful cola! my mam used to buy it when i was a kid, think it was about 17p a bottle. it was 'vogue' cola and tasted of soil. 'rola cola'

not being a snob, but I dont like cheap cola and I dont like coca cola either. We all have our brands we prefer
#9
I also like Tesco diet cola and as they do a caffeine free version it means I can still drink coke since I gave up caffeine about 3 years ago.

I have never seen this almond one in Scotland - does anyone know a Tesco who stocks it here (near Glasgow preferably).

Yes - I agree with you entirely.

Cheap colas can just not compete without the expensive ingredient of advertising to enhance the flavour! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

Think that may have been me:-D

Heat from me, Tesco Diet Cola with Almond is my all-time fave drink and blasts anything Coke or Pepsi have to offer out of the water!
It's been this price for a while but thanks for posting as the more 'converts' there are the less likely it is to be discontinued.
#12
Ahh, wont someone just do Cherry Coke again, can never find it now. :(

could well have been lol

Voted hot then realised its Tesco own..... And then realised it was Almond flavour....?!?! :?
#15
DO my eyes deceive me or have Tesco actually come up with an offer worth buying?!

Edit: I didn't realise it was Tesco Own Brand either - in that case not as good as a deal I was expecting! (still good though but not in the same league as Sainsburys and Asda have been of late.)
#16
oooh iv not heard or seen the almond one but then again never looked for it. sounds nice and deffo worth a try. cheers! heat added! x
#17
No cola came close to Virgin Cola. How I miss thee.

I'll try these out though, hot.
#18
These deals are on all the time at asda and supermarkets selling there own brands like cola, orange etc. for 3 for a £1. I am tempted to try this almond flavour though i must admit.
#19
I worked out Dr Pepper was almond back in University, when we added Ameretto (Almond Liqueur) to Cola and it tasted like alcoholic Dr Pepper. Try it sometime - it's nice :)

you will either love it or hate it a bit like marmite really, my mam tried it and wasn't too fussed, then she tried another glass and liked it, then changed her mind again lol

This is a great deal, been at this price for sometime now tho.
The diet cola with almond is the only fizzy drink i have at home, flavour of 'full fat', considerably less calories and at a third of the price.
#22
Not tried the almond cola but in general tesco's own cola ain't half bad, Remember its lyk 1/4 of the price of coca cola! To be honest someone mentioned virgin cola and that stuff was great, some shops still sell it too but its quite a rarity these days. Anyways yeh tescos cola... outta the fridge... with vodka you'd hardly notice the difference.... Smart price cola from asda on the other hand *vomit*
#23
Will have to give the almond a try as it sounds interesting but will start with just buying one bottle
#24
Nice deal and hot but does anyone else think that the almond flavour, if it really does taste like Dr Pepper, must be revolting 'cos Dr Pepper is?
#25
Good deal, but personally i find the cheapy cola goes flat insanely quick..?

Ill stick to pepsi and coke, but worth a quid nonetheless!

agreed, although apparently im a "snob" according to someone on here!
#27
It's not just Tesco cola that is 3 for a quid, it is all 2 litre Tesco bottles, lemonade, orangeade, limeade, cherryade, dandelion and burdock, ginger beer and more, think I'll give the almond coke a try, you've got to haven't you!!

Loads of Cherry Coke in the shops near me, where are you?
#29
Yes.. another fan of the Almond flavour here.

All almond fans need to go out and buy lots of it - I swear Tesco are trying to phase it out. It gets so little shelf space in Amersham and Aylesbury.
#30
mentos 80p in tesco for 4 tube multipack (maybe 5 tubes?) hope they work with this :P
#31
there is a huge difference between different makes of cola, or between coca-cola and pepsi.

Yes - some spend a huge amount on advertising, and some don't.
#33
Thumbs up - almond coke is delicious!! Not all stores stock it though!

Sandhurst Extra does - picked up 6 for £2 on Saturday :-)

If you actually cannot taste the difference your tastebuds must be shot.
#35
calling someone a snob just because they prefer a particular brand is ridiculous ,
of course you can taste the difference between different brands of coke.. hot from me tho as this is actually quite nice :)

Voted cold.

Tesco pop always used to be this price before they started playing yo-yo with the prices.

The bottle says, with a twist of almond. How do you twist an Almond?? :)

lol
Rola Cola!
