#12
Asda must be selling these at a loss. great find
#13
Have you got a receipt you can put up?
#14
AFAIK, the only packs of 30 eggs ASDA do are ASDA Cooks Value Medium Eggs (30) (same as photo provided here) and they caged.
#15
homerj1977, even if you think caged eggs are better; where are you going to find 30 caged eggs for a £1?

I think you will find they are NOT Free Range, good price for basic eggs from chickens treated extremely badly. Since seeing how they are treated I for one dont buy anything but free range.

Many of you are mentioning that they are Free Range where does it say that???? I must have missed it.

I was being a spelling pedant.
6 large free range eggs are 99p at Home Bargains.

The OP expired the deal since he thought they were FR, but after checking found they were battery eggs, and amended the first post.

I saw these eggs priced at £2.98 over the weekend

I would never buy battery eggs what ever the price was. Free-range eggs are not vastly more expensive and they taste far better. Battery eggs should be banned, the sooner people stop buying the better!!!!

Do they really taste better though? Not that i would buy the battery eggs but i think the taste comment is not really true.

Yes, not only do they taste much better they also look better. They look more healthy and vibrant than the anaemic and bland tasting Battery Egg's. Although, if Im honest I buy battery Eggs for Cooking and Free Range for Eating, it fried, scrambled etc. Im a little ashamed of myself for that and its something Im planning on changing..

I think they taste a lot better - could just be psychological though as I know I'm not eating eggs from tortured hens!

At least these deals won't be around much longer, battery caged hens will be made illegal in 2012. They will still be in cages but at least they will be a bit bigger and have "enrichment" devices in them.

I think anything lower than barn hens is criminal (before people start getting in a strop because I think their support of animal abuse is wrong (ironically, many would have been angry at the woman who put the cat in the bin!), no I haven't voted cold).
