God I hope they've improved since I used them a couple of years ago! Cheap for a reason!

The WORST customer service of any telecom company I've used, and that's saying something! We all know how poor the CS can be but this lot took the proverbial biscuit and screwed things up at each and every opportunity!
Ballsed-up porting the number over, wouldn't put me onto a supervisor then no call backs, and finally, kept taking money out after the contract was cancelled - woeful!!

Has anyone got any similar sim only offers - I'm looking for something around this price with 2gb of data, just not with these clowns! (_;)

ID use Three

500 mins
2GB data
5000 texts
£7.50 per month

ShockProof (Capped)
If you like the idea of more control over your monthly mobile plans, then our ShockProof plans are for you. Every plan comes with a £5 'cap' on your calls, texts and data, so you'll never be able to go over your limit by more than you can afford!

You can then easily view how much you've used at any time of the month, by logging in to your account. So rather than feeling shocked each month, you'll feel in control

Or EE 4G via Virgin

1500 mins, unlimited texts & 2G for £1.50 more a month @ £9 (£1 cheaper than B(EE)T's sister Plusnet Mobile at £10pm)

http://store.virginmedia.com/virgin-media-mobile/sim-only/pay-monthly-sim.html

https://www.plus.net/mobile/plans/sim-only

Plusnet and ID do 'boltons' and 'add ons' - Virgin dont

https://www.plus.net/mobile/bolt-ons

https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/call-charges

Data Rollover and Free WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger with virgin

TalkMobile (Vodafone owned) do 1500 mins, 5000 texts and 4GB for £10 https://talkmobile.co.uk/shop/sim-only

^ All 30 day sims

I wasnt but that was back in the day and EE's fault! Poor/no signal - it seemed to not connect to T-Mobile signal as they were cutting Orange towers down. Customer service was more than helpful though - refunded my two DD payments.

Rubbish company. They have practice to increase price after 1- 2 months.

horrible customer service. stay clear from them.

I'm yet in twenty+ years to find a Telco that has only great or poor care.

Three's customer service isn't perfect but T.P.O customer service is atrocious 16 days to port my phone number never ever again, you get what you pay for.

Same call centre - old 3 staffed call centre company they sold off to a private company in India.

EE are the only network who have EE staff on the phone, Capita do o2's care, and more than a couple of contractors do Vodafone's.

Yeah I spoke to Plymouth last few times before I left a few months ago due to tech probs and delayed upgrades needed in my area, much better than Darlington (Orange) which was generally more poor than good 65%/35% - Greenock (T-Mobile) was very good.

The 150 T-Mobile team calls mostly go to India, 50/50 if you get good care, occasionally UK which seem to be poorer than EE 4G 150 team and north English based (Darlington?)

In the last year...

ID were ok about a year ago. Closed account but they still took direct debit for following month, had to call and get it refunded - pain but a few quick calls & resolved.

o2 say they will do something but dont, repeatedly - on 3 Refresh accounts in 2016.

3 are a joke again after the call centre sell off, back to 2003/4 manners and helpfulness - nearly none.

Vodafone data contract, trying to get through to cancel was a nightmare, sent 30 days notice by mail as did not want to talk to them - no action taken and only when I noticed another months direct debit came out the bank I called and they would not cancel as I took a 12 month sim - not so, all the order details said 1 month their system said 12, 3 calls on hold for about 1 and a half hours to their COMPLAINT line - no answer - ended up emailing CEO office to thier credit sorted it in a few days and refund done with 10 from email. Dismal really. Vodafone payg in Scotland & Ireland were great a few years back, contract in England were horrendous.

All in I would agree, EE inhouse UK based staff (like parent BT) really are raising their game way above the rest, sadly I cant get a good signal city/area wide due to them awaiting upgraded base station sites. Shame as I quite fancied getting the EE £15 unlimited/25GB (15GB EU roaming) MAXX plan another HUKD'er got! Bargain :D

EDIT
Just realised writing that, my best call experiences were Scotland/Ireland. Including Vodafone contract years ago.

Thanks

Looks a bit too good to be true if I`m honest. Has anyone got one yet? I saw the Candy telecom deal that didn`t look real but hopefully this is good

Any idea about tethering?

uSwitch are still doing the Plusnet exclusive deal - 2000 mins, unlimited texts, 2GB 4G data, 1 month rolling contract, £7.50/month. They use EE. The equivalent deal on plusnet website is only 1GB.

A great deal if you can get a EE signal, I cant understand why sharing a physical network of base stations 3 has a good signal but EE is poor in my region ? I assume 3 added 'new' units to the T-Mobile sites and T-Mobile just kept upgrading software with minimal hardware ?

EE have confirmed locally they have issues (let me out of 2 12 month sim only contract half way through) and upgrades are happing this year, T-Mobile coverage was never great here so most the Orange bases stations have been integrated into 3/EE's backhaul company but I had to switch roaming off for it to prefer the old T-Mobile network - problem was Orange base stations were not connecting calls in or out on either sim, with roaming off the coverage was minimal. EE investigated, confirmed this & let me be free as they were going to be updating region in 2017 - pencilled in, not confirmed, even though they know there is massive issues for customers with Orange/T-Mobile here.Even a T-Mobile account was having issues with engaged tone for incoming calls and that took a replacement sim, 4 weeks after a previous replacement micro/nano sim. Aware of the same issue on a Orange account too circa the same time, again it had already been recently replaced for a nano. ??

Anyone else had such bad issues with EE and the merging of Orange/T-Mobile base stations ? I know one other person way up North and we are both Scotland based, I wonder if it is a Scotland issue with EE's T/O network integration.

Shame I had to leave as EE/Plusnet seem to be great offers just now with or without inclusive EU roaming.

Stupidly, I ignored the warnings about TPO customer service, thinking that I would insert the SIM, activate it and everything would be fine.
Five days later, SIM refuses to activate, and getting no response from Customer Service.
Initial £6.99 was taken immediately from my debit card- suppose I'll have to write that off!
Now I have to ensure that they don't start taking money by direct debit.
Doesn't appear to be any way to actually speak to anyone at the Company, just email which they ignore.
Anyone have any ideas?

If you dont get anywhere with a telco issue after a call/letter/social media contact you 1) Call Ofcom, lodge complaint. 2) IF a valid complaint they will email a higher authority at telco about your complaint. 3) If nothing is resolved to satisfaction with 5 working days make a official complaint - following the Complaints Code of Conduct EVERY telco must have via Ofcom stipulation on their website, quote Ofcom reference number on complaint and FULL details.

IF you reach deadlock with in 8 weeks from your first contact to the telco, request deadlock letter or after 8 weeks go to ADR

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/about-ofcom/contact-us

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/problems/adr-schemes

Contacting Ofcom registers complaints for evaluation of performance of all licensed telcos. You dont have to even contact your telco, you can call and get advice and IF the complaint is valid Ofcom register it against the telco, contact them, give you further advice or another point you to another approved body (see second link).

:)

So far so good so to say with TPO but it is early days only signed up with them a few days ago.
I've moved from T-mobile to these guys. Great signal and customer service. I've contacted them over the phone using 500 customer service number and got connected to an advisor only after a couple of minutes wait (unlike t-mobile). Online support is great and each time i got a response within a couple of hours. I would 100% recommend TPO to anyone wants a cheap and cheerful sim only deal

Good deal but being on Three is a deal breaker for me - lack of coverage.
