well quidco gets money for refering people to love film
thats how they get the money to give to the user

its the same for dvd.co.uk

so if only 1 gets money they cant both afford to give out the freebie/cash

Possible... but worth a try :)

If you go via Quidco and use the code, the 'for-sure' FREE gift is £20 DVD.co.uk voucher. Whether Quidco tracks or not is to be experimented..

I had a heck of a time cancelling LoveFilm after my (poor) trial. They continued to charge me afterwards as well and that took ages to sort out. Wouldn't touch them personally.

You can cancel online after a certain time at night - I think it is 10 or 11pm - when the phone service shuts down. That way you avoid having to repeat yourself as they try and offer you all kinds of deals........................;-)

I forgot to send the discs back for my last trial, and remembered 2 days before my billing date - sent them special delivery next day though and my account was cancelled without problem. Cost me £3ish for the postage, but was worth it for 3 months DVD and game rental, and sure beat paying a £19.99 monthly fee!
#12
If you sign up with Lovefilm, make shure you use a disposable email address because they will send you advertising forever after your cancellation (cancellation itself was easy).
#13
nice one if only i'd have known a couple of hours earlier when i renewed my lovefilm account this morning. voted hot.

sometimes they offer you good deals when you cancel over the phone like 3 months for the price of 1 and if you don't want to ring them you can just e-mail them saying you couldn't get through on the phone and they'll cancel it for you.

signed up, no sign of the voucher yet though....

anyone got theres yet? Presumably its email delivery?

I've done far better renewing than creating a new account (which you'd have to do to get the £20 here).
I took an offer of 25% off a 12 month renewal. Given this was renewing my now two year old monthly fee it works out at £11 a month for 3 dvds including games.
To get the same on a new account is £18 a month.

Sent within 30 days of you receiving your first disc .

I am on the games and movie trail but they have not sent me a game yet. I have set all my movie priorities to low and all the games priorities as high but they only send me the movies. Anyone got any tips in getting to send you a game to play? Obviously, if the game is old and sucks, then it would be easier to get. I mean tips like how many items should I put into the request list and such?
#19
Everyone else does it for free every 3 months - how is 11 pounds a month any better?
#20
I did the free £10 LoveFilm trial a couple of weeks or so ago, and I got the cheque earlier this week. I didn't have any problems cancelling.
#21
thanks gave it a go :)

just realised something, i went through the quidco link but used the code from this offer, will i still get my voucher or have i screwed it all up and just get quidco?
#23
I have previously had two trials with Lovefilm... Just in case 'security' is tighter now, what would warrant me as a "first time subscriber"? Change of address? Change of payment details? Both? Or would it be enough to call myself "Mr Exy Ozy" with a disposable email?

You'll certainly get the voucher (provided you're a genuine first timer) as its based on the offer code...

This seems like a corker of a deal. If there's one thing I like about being a student (of which there are many), the amount of times I've moved house in the past 5 years means I've had a fair share of free trials from LoveFILM. Voted Hot.
#27
whens this deal going to expire?
#28
I think the three month code is still working.
lost count of the number of three month ones I have had.
think I,m on the 5th one now

True but you'll need to have many different debit/credit cards in order to do this. But then again, lots of people have said they could get a free trial without even needing to reregister.
#30
Do Lovefilm accept trials for 17 year olds and Visa Electron cards?
#31
have my doubts with freebies,
#32
voted cold as they lovefilm company have poor customer service and slow despatch times.

If you go via the link in my OP, the code DVD32V (automatically entered for you in LoveFilm site) will ensure the £20 e-voucher. However, if you go via Quidco, the promo code need to be changed from LFTD14 to DVD32V

Don't be so silly; even if you only get 1 dvd in your 30-day trial it's still a £20 voucher for free :?

Besides the vast majority of users on here have had excellent service from LoveFilm
