Good deal

BUT

These are quite conservative when advising you of 'problems' with your car. The first time I went they told me my exhaust was corroded and the brakes/disks were worn out. I said I would wait until the exhaust started making a noise - it passed 3 more MOTs and I sold the car to a dealer with it still on. I asked them what they meant by 'worn out' when describing the brakes - it just was passed 50% worn. I don't like to compromise on brakes but as it had taken about 30,000miles to get 50% worn there was at least another year in them for a bloke doing 12,000 a year - and there was.

Very much depends on the branch I suppose. Been using them for years on a number of cars, very rarely had to do any actual work but when it has been required they have always shown the worn parts when practical and otherwise shown them after the work was done.

I wouldn't touch this company if it was free! I have had trouble with a couple of branches. One of them even failed my car on it's Mot when it should have passed! Luckily I have a mechanic friend who checked it out before they did any 'so called repairs'. Had to get VOSA involved and they basically gave them points. From what I gather if they get so many points then they lose their license to do Mots. Some people will just pay for repairs and may not know their car is ok!

Personally I am not recommend for MOT but service is good.

I had a similar experience to this - went there for a service 2 years ago and they advised me to replace my brake/pads disks as by the time my MOT came round it wouldn't pass. My car has since had 2 more services and 2 MOTs without a mention of my brakes.

Decent deal but take their "advice" with a large pinch of salt and don't let them do the work before letting someone else take a look.

I've used them for a while (mainly using tesco points) and they seem'd OK. However they advised me that my cambelt needed changing and when I queried it were insistant that it needed doing. I double checked and as suspected my car doesn't have a cambelt (it has a chain) I also suspect I was charged for a fuel filter change when it's a lifetime in tank filter!

They are into selling work and are targeted on it. With their new masters it can only get worse.
