Why cold? 30℅ extra is better right?

Prob cold for a number of reasons....
1. This is Game, the king of t's & c's
2. Are all games included?
3. 30% on top of normal trade in prices advertised?
4. Severe lack of details in the post.

However i could be wrong!

Even with the 30% extra game's trade in prices are generally not great, however if you put some examples in the OP you could turn this around. £29 for Crash is a good example.

The deal is if you trade in...you get 30% extra to spend however it has to be spent there and then...you can't leave the store with a credit note

Probably cold for the following reasons:

Extra 30% still doesn't make the trade in deals great, apart from those said in the comments maybe. However, most people's experience of trade ins at Game are poor

Game's prices for new and preowned games are unreasonably high so you're still not really any better off

The credit has to be used there n then. So if you don't spend it all you lose out again

Those were my initial reactions anyway and I think a lot of others feel the same

Doubt it since I assume you only pay deposit for pre-order and not the full price

So I've just had a look at trade in prices on 3 games that I want to trade in tomorrow. All PS4

Far Cry Primal CEX £12 Game £11 Game + 30% £14.20
Wasteland 2 CEX £8 Game £3 Game + 30% £3.90
Little Nightmares CEX £16 Game £10 Game + 30% £13

Total CEX £36 Game + 30% £31.20

And then I'd have to use that £31.20 on Game's ridiculously priced items there and then, whereas I can take CEX's voucher away with me if I want.

That's why it's cold! There'll be a few exceptions, as there always is, but you've still got to consider Game's higher prices on items that you're buying! I bet they'd charge more for Xbox, Steam and PSN credit if they could!!

Game do a beat any trade in price by a pound don't they? If they did then also applied the extra 30% it would be a good deal, however knowing game there must be some T&C preventing this.

Not 100% certain but i think they stopped that [wont be beaten on trade in] promotion recently.

This stopped. As simply they lost too much money doing this.
Every-time cex were better for me.

Heat. Hate on Game not useful here - this is very good news for anyone looking to trade-in right now. I think I will trade Until Dawn, as on Ps plus now, towards pre-order of WW2 taking the extra 30%. Thank you!

Cold. The sooner game go the better. There isn't competition on the high street anymore and that's why they charge what they feel like. Good riddance I say.

Have to vote hot to be honest. Had credit left from their last promotion and got Until Dawn free on ps+.

Traded £6 credit, until dawn, dark souls 3
In return for uncharted 4, dishonoured 2, and no man's sky.

They were also offering nearly £40 for zelda on Wii u, was tempted to get persona 5 or horizon zero dawn.
