How do these compare to the Brabantias ?
#3
Nice looking bins, they also had cream bullet bins (30l) plus a 5l bin free for £17.99 in Netto. Here:

I think my sister has this one, decent enough, not as good as SimpleHuman but a decent Brabantia copy.

hey what is the name of the manufacturer?
i got the same bin from woolworths and the cover got broken

I have the same bin. I bought when it was redued to the same price last year. Not bad, although I've had to return it three times due to the catch breaking. Argos have replaced it without any fuss though.

I've returned this bin twice as the lid keeps breaking.

had one, imho the brabantia ones are far better as the one from argos's catch broke after about 2 days :( possibly 10 pushes so it went straight back, i would personally wait for amazon to reduce them to £30 odd quid again
(forgot to add have had the brabantia one about 2 years no probs)

I ordered the Brabantia one from Amazon the other day for only £30.43 - meant to have been reduced from over £90. saw it on OOTD.
Just checked amazon and its back up to £66!
(email says its on its way, so here's hoping)

We got one of these the last time they were on this offer, the first one the catch snapped within 2 weeks of us getting it, got it replaced and then after 3 weeks of using that one had real trouble closing it, got a different bin when we took that one back as we'd had enough.

SimpleHuman are better than Brabantia for touch lid bins, although Brabantia probably have the edge with pedal bins.

Even at £25 for a bin it would break my heart to waste money on a rubbish bin lol:thinking:
#20
i dont care less who make the bins spending money on a rubbish bin is just a waste of dosh on a smelly rubbish bin lol:w00t:
#21
woolthworths offered me a refund. so what bin would you recommend me to get max for 40 quid. thanks
#22
volcam save your money dont waste it lol:thumbsup:

I have this bin in the 50l (cost £34.99 down from 69.99) and i have had no problems at all with it... sounds like im the only one though..........
#24
mine also had an inner "ring" that sits just inside the top to hold your bin bag internally so you cant see the bag at all, looks really good in my kitchen!
#25
Voted cold as the product from Argos is no good. Have changed mine since January 2008 3 times. Currently sitting in Kitchen with a stone on the lid to keep the latch from catching and the bin closed.
I recommend saving and investing in a branded one.....don't "waste" your time on this one.
#26
Ours broke very quickly. Waste of money buy the real thing!!
#27
The lid on ours is fine but it very quickly started showing tiny rust spots on the "stainless" steel. We only ever wipe it with a bit of kitchen roll with a couple of squirts of anti-bacterial spray so it shouldn't have started corroding already :(

Two hours ago there was a silver 30l brabantia pedal bin on Amazon, for under £30. hurry hurry they only had four left!
