Just had 4 Pirelli P Zero Nero tyres fitted to my car (205/45/16) at the ATS Euromaster in Godalming.

Price came to £269 minus £40 Sainsburys voucher. Which works out at just over £57 a tyre taking the voucher into account. The next cheapest I could find for that tyre was around £75 from http://www.blackcircles.com.

The prices vary between branches so phone around and get the best deal then ask your nearest place to match it. A friend found the above price in Slough which Godalming matched.

One thing to note is that you have to send off for the voucher. You're given an application form that you have to fill in and enclose your receipt. Offer ends at the end of this month and voucher has to be redeemed by the end of November.

 sounds a great deal. It's ashame I'm only after two though! Will give them a call for a quote.

Anyone know what they're like for brake pads and discs, or does it depend on location?

Thats a decent price - was quoted £186 for my discs and pads from Nationwide for a 206 1.4! Ended up doing myself for £12.50 for the pads and £25 (both prices plus vat) for the discs - but even then, you only paids around £50 for them to be fitted and at any garage £50 an hour is pretty normal so good price

Had a quick look to see if I'd missed out on a better deal. Thankfully these guys are about £75 per tyre too. Phew!

Heh - glad you got it cheaper. ATS were more expensive for the car we did...

ATS are rip off merchants, got quoted £300 to reboot my car, got another quote from an independent firm and it came in at £210 even with a £40 giftcard sweetner this is cold.

sounds good!

but more info needed!

is it only on selected tyre makes eg pirelli?, or on selected tyre sizes?

and is it nationwide?

As I said, phone around and get the best price from several ATS Euromaster depots. Godalming were going to charge £320 admittedly including tracking but matched the cheaper price provided by Slough.

i have a friend that lives in Godalming.....

Cold! My last set of Pirelli's warped, had 5mm all round on them too. Fitter said it was a common problem with them.
#15
Not as cheap as my re-moulds.

The nice guy who fitted em gave me free safety advice thrown in too.

"Don't drive too fast on em" , he said - showing real concern for my safety.

Now thats what you call service.

:-D

I bet if you went to an independent you would have got it a lot cheaper without the runaround.
You pay your money you and take your choice.

i would not do my own brakes...even though its not mega hard....if you are involved in a crash and the brake installation was deemed at fault, you could be sued.

Avoid Pirelli P6000 tyres at all costs, absolutely appalling.

One of the cheapest places in the SE for tyres is Bracknell Tyre & Battery
#30
I called BT&B the other day for a price on 4 205 55 16 tyres, Dunlops were quoted at £62, Michelin's £72 including fitting and disposal of the old tyres
#31
COSTCO are doing bye 4 get 20% off next week and the starting price is normally cheaper.
You also do not need to get them fitted straight away

I have the same size, Try mytyres.net or costco for them. I've never seen them for £160 unless you have runflats or Porsche fitting.

I wouldn't recommend going from 50 ratio to 40, you'll lose your teeth on the speed bumps. You'll also suppose to get the OEM tyre size if you have standard wheels, something to do with insurance I think

In my experience Pirelli are probably the most overrated tyres around. They used to be up with the best but now they handle ok in the dry but are poor in the wet and wear down too fast. I've had several sets over the past few years ( company car ) , but now avoid them with a passion.
#35
I used to buy from topgear and get the tyres delivered. I then had to get someone to fit them. I now use http://www.event-tyres.co.uk/ because their prices are reasonable and they come to you to fit the tyres.
#36
Pirelli P zero neros are good in the dry and in the wet, they break traction a little too easily for my liking in the dry leading to a little wheelspin i.e. screech and drawing a bit of attention to you.

They're a good value tyre but one of mine is bulged and I have heard reports of them warping and even blowing out.

Costco are mentioned above, they only sell Michelin tyres which is no bad thing they are a real premium brand, great in wet / dry and wear very well.

WRT the OP's tyre size though the Michelin Pilot Exalto 2 (205 45 16 v rated) as fitted to clio 182's is more likely to cost £95 / 100 (£130 @ kwik fit lol)per corner before any discounts.

195 45 16 is cheaper but doesn't protect the wheel rim so well.
#37
Price isn't bad, as a few have mentioned though the P Zero Neros in my experience have shocking traction in the cold and wet. Admittedly this was the 205/40/17 tyres but I couldn't believe the difference when I changed the tyres, the car actually had grip!

I tried a couple of tyres which were both far superior, Avon ZZ3 and Toyo T1R, both tyres were available at a lower cost and were so much more trustworthy. The P Zeros could just break traction with no warning and in the wet were lethal.

Not slating the deal, just the tyres in my experience.
#38
The only Tyres I ever buy are michelin pilot Exalto 2's...great in dry, wet, cold, whatever. I wouldn't touch pirelli again...understeer city!
#39
did this yesterday got 4 p6000 for £190 less 40 sainsburys = bargain

ive never had an issue with p6000
