ECP sell a massive range of parts by some of the best manufactuers in the business. Even in your link to a couple of faulty clutches - ECP refunded the people concerned so whats the problem?

Keep your dogmatic, uninformed views to yourself and let the heat do the talking.

We have had a trade account at ECP for many years. They used to offer excellent value, but in the last couple of years have become more retail focussed and pushed their prices up a lot. We can now usually source parts a lot cheaper at other factors and seldom use ECP any more.

Fortunately, all my under rad pipes have been replaced, and I've had the system dyed - the condensor is the only thing which is leaking now.

Sorry but i've mainly had very bad personal experience dealing with ECP. I've bought brake discs that warped after just 100 miles/faulty O2 sensor/faulty fuel injector and a new (cheap) battery rated at 400cca that would only deliver 200cca after a full charge! There a re just too many sub standard parts in their range to justify using them now. I now use parkersthepartspeople and have only good words for their parts and service.

Got a Bosch Silver+ S5 battery for £70. Same price I was going to pay for some own-brand one. Bargain.

I've never had any issues with ECP. But then every deal has floods of 'it's rubbish' posts so nothing unusual.

Pagid Brakes are part of the German group TMD. Pagid are original equipment to a whole range manufactures.

They do a lot of high end research in braking, a lot of which filters down to the OE quality parts sold in the UK,
    Hope this helps.

That's brilliant, thank you very much for this. We've needed to do the wishbones on my girlfriends Civic and instead of it costing ~£200 for both sides it's come to just over ~£130; well please!

good discount, however euro car parts aftersales is absolutely terrible, so factor this in as well if it's important to you. i wouldn't use them anymore, even if they were cheaper as their philosophy of 'ignore you when you have a problem' is frustrating.

Ime, that is too much to pay for that. Pick one on Ebay for £35ish and have a local mechanic fit it. Make sure you get a bearing with the abs/speedo sensor, as these are on the passenger side on Mk4 astras.

    Are their normal prices OK?
Just looked at a replacement headlight bulb. On this site it costs £83, but a Google quickly turns up the same product on multiple other sites for £45.

Is it a squeeking sound when cornering it could be brakepad warning clip rubbing against disc.

Nice find though I'm not so sure the condensor will fix your a/c as all 306s suffer a problem whereby the pipes that run along the underside of the radiator corrode due to poor design.

Great find on the discount though and hopefully it does solve the issue but thought I'd give you a heads up on the pipes as ive been through this before!!

If you have wheel trims whip them off first and try it, I saved a fortune from a tyre fitter telling me I had a loose trim that was slipping-sounded exactly like wheel bearing.

Yeah that was the deal breaker for me.... can get things half that price locally
  34. joey_t's avatar
Seems like an OK deal, worth noting though, that they don't only stock parts for European models. They should have a selection for most cars.
If you could squeeze that in the title, you might get some more votes.

It's HID (High Intensity Discharge) and therefore bright as hell. But expensive.
