I've just gone to the link you've provided and I can't see any mention of an offer for Amex holders. The site is American. Are you sure you've got the right thing?
#2
I didn't see a Gap UK site... but I've linked to the Amex offer site now.

Btw, I saw this instore initially. You do NOT need to print the voucher. "Simply present your American Express Card when paying."
#6
Sorry I should have said this voucher was for those of us without an Amex card and is valid from 23rd April until the 4th of May.

I'd just like to say, AMEX is ****, I got a card last week as I spent a grand a month on my credit card and thought 5% cashback was a great offer.

Well it would be if anyone accepted it.

Rang to pay littlewoods £120, sorry don't accept
Posting stuff @ post office for £12, sorry we don't accept
£30 petrol @ local garagem, sorry do you have any other cards
Tried to pay for my booze in Coop half an hour ago, sorry we don't accept

I've also tried it on play.com, hmv.com & bang cd...all rejected

Music Magpy has AMEX as drop down box, I think "Yay" then I get an error message, sorry we don't accept.

I've used it to pay my Discogs.com bill @ $4
I should have made £12 cashback!!!! so far I've made 20 cents
Who the hell does accept it ????

I think a lot of places don't accept it because of the higher merchant transaction fee compared to MasterCard or VISA.

I was thinking about applying for one, but I didn't realize so many places didn't accept them!

I work in Comet, and we accept them, but that's all I know of!

sainsburys accept amex. nectar credit card is provided by amex and you get double necter points when you use with nectar card

Try Asda, Tescos, Sainsburys, Waitrose........ and any of their petrol stations

but it's true, many "discount" places won't take it, whereas "full-price" shops will

There are occassional Amex discounts, however most you can get anyway, as with this Gap promotion using a voucher and any other card or cash!

I love my AMEX cashback card, as mainly spend in Sainsburys (food and fuel). Was dead chuffed when Directline accepted it for my car insurance.

Try this website for more places:

Morrisons accept Amex......i use it to do my weekly shop of over a hundred a week so getting some good cashback rewards!!!
#13
I never understand why people complain that Amex isn't accepted everywhere - how hard is it to have two credit cards?
I get 1.5% back on my amex if somewhere takes it, or 1% back on my mastercard if they don't.
Big deal.

Agreed, I prefer to pay using AMEX, mostly because service is a lot better if you have a problem. However, If you have an AMEX card then no doubt you will also have another payment method. There was a site where AMEX would allow you to place retailers you wished to accept AMEX so they would contact them and try and get them to take it but I can't find the link again.

H&M used to take it :( now they don't I like my Amex cards :D

I worked for American Express in Customer Services, HMV and Play do accept Amex, I have a feeling you'll have been entering the 3 digit security code from the back of the card when going through checkout, it's the 4 digit code above the account number on the front.

30% discount voucher on martin lewis money saving expert site - no need to use amex - just print the voucher
#17
Was wondering if producing my Lloyds Duo Amex card would get me the discount as well??

For those who are struggling with their Amex cards, on sites that I have ordered from, the CV2 verification code is on the front, not the signature strip.

Scrozuk

p.s. Sorry macmini, hadn't spotted your post about the CV2 code..

Thank you  Printed it off and took it to the outlet store at livingstone and got £7 off a £25 purchase;-)
