Handy if you have one of the listed games and don't like it,(See picture).

Offer applies to titles listed on Xbox 360 format only. No other titles or formats apply. All games must be in original packaging, in good working order and of satisfactory quality. Trade-in offers are open to members of the public only and GAME reserves the right to refuse any offer to anyone believed to be representing a trade buyer. This offer can be withdrawn at any time without prior notice. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers in store. Online offers may vary. This does not affect your statutory rights.

For some reason the link to the 'poster' isn't working, I tried it from the Game website and my photo bucket account :S

You'll have to click the link to see it then, I'm too tired to list the titles that apply to the offer.

Those games a quite new, game dont usually do very good very offers... this is no exception. :-D

This could be a bargin for anyone who bought uk version of splinter cell, trade it in then get the region free version from play-asia for £23 later on.

Apart from risking picking up a cheap copy of one of the games from ebay.. or if you really want shot of a recent game only way it can be a bargin really.

I disagree, I remember when Game did the offer of Trade in any 4 games and get a brand new game for 99p. This was when i went out and bought any games for 99p-£4 and managed to get a game for about £15!

The 'trade any 4 games' scheme seriously damaged the preowned market in Lancaster. I benefited immensely as I've always had a keen eye for games and was getting every new title out for less than £10 by trawling every game shop in the city for the most ludicrously cheap and bad games to flog on.

In one instance I estimated that if you could be bothered to do the legwork you could actually buy a PS2 or Xbox starting with a mere £3.00!

I know this is incredibly snide, and it's not a 'deal', but it's a little trick that works.

If you can find a place selling a game cheaper than somewhere else, you can get the differential between the two back on another game.

Table Tennis is a good bet, as I know somewhere (I think Virgin) have it in their buy one get one free promo at the moment. You could buy 2 for £30, then find that it's £30 in Game for just the one. So if you take it back to Game still sealed and say "Oh, I got this off a friend but I already have it! He's lost the receipt though!" they'll generally always let you trade it for store credit. So you could get Gears of War for £10 if they're doing it for £39.99. Meaning for £40 you can get Gears of War and Table Tennis!

I've only done it a couple of times with genuine duplicate Christmas pressies and the second copy of Pro Evo 6 that Foxy.co.uk sent me by accident. It works in most shops, but it's probably best to check with them first. It's also a bit evil and soulless, but hey, cheap Xbox games!

When I was a cash strapped 18 year old (though things aren't that much better 7 years on!) I used to keep an eye out for expensive old games in HMV - Generally they didn't concentrate on the pricing structure of gaming section back in the day. Essentially I was buying preowned games from work with staff discount then taking them to HMV in Preston and returning them without a receipt for credit. In doing so you could spend £10 on earning a £50 credit note. To make matters worse you could then get 10% off by using your NUS card!

Such an evil boy :)

Well ive gone for this deal.

I bought Pro Evo 6 which was a pile of poo in my humble opinion. Only bought it for £35, realised there was no chance of selling it on ebay as LOADS of people are trying to shift it at £30. Therefore i traded it in. Only thing is though is Gears of War is £45 in stores.

Still, only had to pay £15 and got rid of a game I couldnt stand all in one go. Tops!

tesco have a misprice in some stores - PES 6, Stickered on box and promo stand @ £39.96 scans @ £39.97 they are obligated to give you the product and your money back as part of their price promise. Gears of war - £15 or if you get 2 copies, £0.00

Wow, that sounds like the ultimate in cheeky tactics. I'm assuming you've managed to do this? How did you keep a straight face? :)
#12
i havent done it but others i know have, you dont have to keep a straight face, they have overcharged you and are obliged to stick to their promise :D
#13
Sounds dodgy to me, but that is Tesco's policy. But there are some people out there who really try to play the system...

Welcome to the forums crompton.
