So £6.49 for the first two seasons is an excellent price for it :)

"In its first two seasons, 30 ROCK earned a boatload of trophies: the series won well-deserved Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series (both years), and snagged accolades for both its lead and guest performances. Set behind the scenes at THE GIRLIE SHOW, a fictional sketch-comedy series, 30 ROCK follows show-runner Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) as she contends with her program's infantile stars, Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski), trades barbs with network exec Jack Donaghy (Alex Baldwin), and makes ill-fated attempts at a personal life. This collection includes every episode from the show's first two series."

This is a very funny show. Season 5 just started on Comedy Central. The best thing with US shows is that each season is usually about 20 episodes so great value for money.

Definitely, I love how American seasons are generally at least twice as long as ours :p

I don't like how a lot of the best American shows get cancelled early, though ><

But American TV is usually way better than our TV, in my opinion :)

Absolutely awesome TV show.

This, Office (US version - I know, series 1 RUBBISH, gets better and better, UK Office blah blah GET OVER IT) and Parks and Recreation are all worth checking out!

Alec Baldwin is hilarious in this. All of the other characters are just stupid though. And stupid isn't funny.

I agree, the first 2 seasons of parks and recreation are good, but the 3rd season so far, has not been upto standard in my opinion

@Kingnpuk, know what you mean but Ron Swanson is just getting better and better! I liked the bacon ordering scene from last week!

The Rob Lowe character was not that great though.

Showing as £12.55 now. I've seen the first 6 or so episodes and have been looking to buy the first season on the cheap. This will do nicely :)

Edit: £12.55 on mobile site when you click on it, but £6.49 on full site. weird.

30 Rock is the best US comedy since Fraiser.
Superbly written and a great cast. Consistently funny.
You can probably tell I'm a fan!

Love Parks and Recreation too but 30 Rock is in a class of it's own.
Tina Fey is a class act!

Oh yeah and Modern Family is also very funny.

There, I'm all done - I'm off to watch Restrepo

Modern Family is a great show :)

I stumbled on the imdb page for Parks and Recreation the other day, and am definitely tempted to start watching it. It looked like it had potential from the cast list.

Could you guys maybe compare it in terms of style/awesomeness to any other TV shows? :)

Great show with characters talking to & reacting to camera like Modern Family. In my work I rub shoulders with the UK equivalent of this US local government dept. 'Parks & Open Spaces' and so quite a bit crosses over. It's developed over time to be less about the dept. and more about the characters. I love Amy Poehler almost as much as Tina Fey and if you like SNL and that style of humour you'll love this show. Probably best to try and see the series in order though if possible.

Is this just my copy or has anyone else notice that everyone has distinctly deeper voices in the series 2 dvd than series 1. I've spent about 20 minutes checking that I haven't got playback set to 95% of full speed or something.

It's freaking me out!
