nice find

Can they be used on contract phones to top up your monthly allowance?
#4
Do you think these could be used on a contract Virgin sim to boost my current 100 mins/100 texts? Is there a limit to the number of vouchers which can be used thru the same sim card?
#5
wow sounds good, anymore info on these though? Like how widespread the offer is, anyone else found it etc? Is this a rare item? Did your store have many or just the one available?
#6
Do the minutes and texts expire after 1 month or something?

Yes - I've just been reading about the 'Virgin Mobile Liberty Sim' and it is basically a PAYG SIM which if you top up £15 per month you get 300 minutes and 300 texts.

From Virgin's website:
"4. No roll over: Any unused allowance in your Bundle remaining at the end of your month will be lost and will not roll over to the following month."

I also suspect that they will only work on PAYG Virgin mobiles (I'm more than happy to be prooved wrong on this though :) )

Still hot though if you have a PAYG Virgin mobile as you essentially become a 'Virgin Liberty customer' for one month for only £1. After that you will just revert back to a normal PAYG customer

Just to clarify this.

If I buy this sim for a pound, do I receive 300 mins e.t.c?

Or do you have to spend a pound then pay 15 pound for all those minutes.

If it's the first one then surely that would be wrong, otherwise I'll buy 10 sims:?

Also on their website it says.......
"Just so you know though, Liberty SIM is subject to UK credit check and payment by Direct Debit"

Was this in your local store, oronline. I have a feeling my local Sainsie manager will give me an blank look when I ask about it. How likely is this to be company wide?
#11
No catches, No credit checks...no need to even register or top-up.
comes with a 300 mins/texts voucher. Instore only...........

Going to have a look later, if it's true great, if it's not your in for some abuse :p
#13
expiry date? what stops me from buying 100 of them?
#14
Do the vouchers expire?
If not - I'll be straight down to Sainsburys to buy 12 sims, and simply use the vouchers 1 every month for the next year?

300 mins & txt for £12/annum seems pretty damn good to me =)

mx-3, which store did you buy yours from as I've never been able to find them since this deal was posted 5 months ago at £4

dont suppose you have a sainsbury sku code from your receipt. my local store has a 12 year old answering, i fear he has no idea of what im after, searching the computer wrong and telling me they arent on the system, a sku would help a lot

how come no one posted this ages ago, apparently the normal price is £4!!! i'll go 300/300 4 that

There are 2 left in the Sydenham branch (020 8225 5000) - maybe ring them up and ask for the code.

I just spoke to them (I think I was put through to their photoshop counter?).

yeah, was just told by my local Sainsburys that the £1 for liberty sim offer was on back in March and "that we dont stock them anymore, they are not on our system"

Odd?

I had six from the mansfield store & 3 from nottingham.
the barcode is 5 060006 006869

Just come back from a Sainsburys store in Salford, Regent Park. No such SIM card is being sold there. I was told they have never sold any separate SIM cards, other than those come together with a new phone.

I hope you said Hi to the Mansfield Massive when you were there ;-)

can these be used for mobile braudband?
#25
Don't bother in Canterbury, asked at Customer services and at the tills. They don't sell any sim cards apparently and told me to go to a phone shop ( 9 pm saturday night!) CS said maybe available at Very Large Stores. A very underwhelming experience, only mitigated by bargain rtc strawberries and cakes.

Yep this no luck in Nuneaton Sainsburys, they don't even sell simcards they said, asked 2 workers there...

great find!

If anyone manages to pick up one of these they are basically like top up scratch cards that add credit to your phone. Except of course they add a package of minutes and texts as opposed to the usual £5/£10/£20. This is not a contract and there is no need to go through any credit checks.

I used to be on Virgin Mobile and they were about the only network who allowed contract customers to add PAYG top up vouchers to your account to pay off your monthly bill. I used to buy £20 top up vouchers on eBay for about £16 and do this. So there's a chance you might still be able to take advantage of this deal if you're on contract.

You can also register the new sim on your online account and ring customer services and get the £1 transfered to your regualar sim card. Once upon a time they used to give you an extra £2 bonus for registering sims online but scrapped this along with other such policies like roll over minutes after the company was taken over and have been going steadily downhill since.
