Not a massive saving but the best price i have seen for this so far.
Leonidas is the king of ancient Sparta. The city is famous for its warrior philosophy, and Leonidas won't kneel to the demands of Persia's King Xerxes. Instead, Leonidas leads his 300-strong army against Xerxes's army of millions. Meanwhile, his wife campaigns in Sparta for the city to send reinforc

amazing film. First time seen it this cheap on HD. Hot!
Very hot!
Looks fantastic in HD. I really enjoyed it.
good deal, though personally I didn't think the movie was all that good.
Was going to say HMV + Quidco, but the cheeky chaps have put the price back up to £17.99! It was £4.49 at the end of last month!
Cheers ordered

Heat and rep applied.
blood thirsty movie but not bloodsucking price:thumbsup: hot

I agree. This was the first blu-ray film I watched and I was very dissapointed with the picture quality although I am told that this film is supposed to be a bit grainy.

Saying that, I will buy this simply because it is cheap and I sold my copy of 300 on blu-ray.
This film is deliberately grainy. It's more of a showcase for surround sound than the clarity of HD.

This review describes it:

The look of the film is that grainy, bleached-out, overlit look that's become popular lately and not just with fantasy films - Clint Eastwood used it for his Iwo Jima project. Partly this is intended to reproduce the look of the comic book (as Sin City did) but another factor is that it allows for simpler and cheaper special effects. The vast crowd scenes don't have to be too detailed. Given the amount of effects, lord knows what 300 would have cost to make, had it been shot with the clarity of Troy. One throwaway scene shows us an entire fleet being broken apart in a storm.
Great looking film but its all style and no content. Zero plot just wave after wave of fighting, its more like watching someone else playing a video game rather than a movie.
Good film but like others said, its not the best to show off the hd capabilities.
Like PoisonJam pointed out the film is supposed to be grainy to give it a certain feel/look. It has nothing to do with the conversion and it looks amazing in HD + at £2.88 delivered who can complain . Ordered one earlier, heat added.
Someone was wondering who 101cd.com are - I've ordered stuff both in the past and very recently and they've been fine. If you're into Sci-fi and HD-DVD's, then they have very good Season 1 HD-DVD box set deals for Heroes (17.81 for 7 discs) and Battlestar Galactica (14.97 for 6 discs) - both turned up this week not too long (3 working days or so) after I ordered them. Grab them while you can!
Ooh if only it could be this price on blu-ray goddamnit! :-D

OMG the irony.

*Sorry for pedantry*
