If you are a Virgin Media customer, you can get a Virgin SIM card with 300 (anytime) mins and 300 texts per month for only £10. The contract is only on a monthly basis, so you can cancel with just a months notice. Also any unused rool over to the next months (up to total of 600 mins or texts).
I've been with them since March this year, and have got one for the missus, as she had a cashback contract, and then didn't bother claiming it back!!!!

is there quidco on this?
#4
I might be wrong:

http://www.quidco.com/virgin-media/

£27 for all non cable packages that says, so strictly speaking that should include either of those offers :)
#5
I didn't put a direct link as I got it when speaking to them on the telephone.
#6
umm isnt this only 300mins until 31:12:07
then 100mins?

looks like to me

Been on this deal first time round and just got my wifes one done onto this.

As long as you sign up between now and end of December, you will have 300mins & 300 Texts with a rollover of unused minutes, so max of 600/600.

After 31/12/07 the deal reverts to 100mins/100 texts for those who sign up after that date. So those who get it now, will still have 300/300.

A dam good deal for a sim only contract.

my 18 month contract has another 5 months
im sure they will do this again gona get it when mine runs out

my parents have 2meg bb £18 a month

I have had this and so have many of my family, most of those of us with a virgin account have taken the maximum of 2 sims.
Its a cracking deal, there is NOwhere that you can get anything this good with any other provider, £10 a month for 300 mins (thats 5 hours !) talktime AND 300 texts. with PAYG that would work out at about £75.
OK, so Not avail to everyone but a real Bargain.

Great deal!!!

got this for my girlfreind and my Dad

##Got £8 quidco confirmed!!##

Voted HOT

Voted hot because it is quite simply the best deal for a mobile contract you can get!

Both myself and the OH are on this, with rollover of mins/texts and free voicemail it's a no brainer.I love it when mobile companies phone me to offer their deals.......if they can beat my current deal they get my business......of course they can't beat it:giggle:

I pay three £5 a month for:

300 mins
150 texts
25 mms
25 video mins
£5 downloads

(and I got 5 months free)

The virgin deal is reasonable but not a bargain.
#14
I am with VM and have considered this as an alternative to using cashback deals.

But what I would like to know is can you have more than one SIM at £10 as I would need one for me and one for the missus!. Do VM limit you to one SIM per VM account?

thanks

'three'!

It's a renewal deal though so you have to have already had a contract coming up for renewal. I signed up to the x-series gold and got a free slingbox too

Currently pay £32 to T-Mobile for £80 of Flext time and unlimited internet 'Web 'n' Walk'. Contract expires January and I will be seeing what Virgin Media have to offer then. I have TV, Sky Sports and BB with them.
Have a Sony Ericcson K610i phone I am happy with, so will be looking for cheapest deal I can.
#20
This is a great deal for PAYG

very tempted by this offer and great for a student like me
#21
Just a quick note to say that I am coming to the end of my Virgin Mobile contract, and I would never EVER get a contract with them again. The reception is appalling, they charge you to talk to customer services, I had several major technical issues when the contract started, and they don't even support something fundamental like call forwarding.

Personally, I'd avoid this network like the plague.
#22
CS, who have been very flexible with me in the past, is free for contract customers, one off 10p for PAYG

I've got about 5 years+ total usage on the tmobile network, it's fine, but admitedly mercury/121 started their coverage in London mostly.
#23
I already have this deal and it is good, as your mins and texts roll over but only for 1 months so max you can have at anyone time is 600 mins & texts
BE WARNED the reception in certain areas is not as good as O2 and Orange! and can drive you mad.

Otherwise a great deal!!
#24
There's also no contract, so if you really don't like it you can leave after 30 days.

Thanks for the info

is the reception that bad?

also is there a way of cheking how many minutes and texts you have left?
#26
789 tells you your mins/text or credit if PAYG

their online system at www.virginmobile.com is good

Check if you have a Tmobile mast near your work/home/friends/pub etc here:

Reception should be the same as t-mobile.
Had this for a while now and my bills when compared to my old o2 contract are much much lower.
#28
this deal was there since last month but they are very slow to respond to the sim order. atleast in my case.
#29
Does anyone know if you can keep your old mobile number? Cant see it mentioned on the offer page.

Yes, you can if you can get the pac code from your current provider. I just called them today to set it up. Though, I did get the 10p charge for the call.
#31
Cheers frosty
#32
cheers for this - reminded me that my contract was up, so phoned o2 retentions to see what they could do (see if they could match this offer) - they're giving me 300 minutes and 750 texts for £15/month and a free 6500 slide. not as cheap, and is an (18 month) contract, but this post inspired it to ta :)

 Great deal this, been on it for 1-2 years

Looks a good deal. I was just wondering will virgin take the £10 per month directly from your account like with my cable tv and phone or do you just need to top up each month?
#35
Hi,

It’s 30p to send a picture message to any UK mobile phone or email account. I changed from O2 to this last month, taking with me my old number, no problems at all and very happy with signal, reception, customer services etc. they also put a limit of £150 on the account to stop anyone running up a huge bill!

Hi

I'm already with Virgin mobile at the moment, what's the cheapest way to pick up this offer, presumably I have to take out their broadband or phone package before I can do this mobile phone offer? 300 mins/300 txts a month is a great offer!

If you are with Virgin Mobile already but not a Virgin Media customer

I imagine you just need to order a Virgin Media product, broadband or tv or both.

Last time they wanted you to have 2 of the three products available (bb/tv/telephone)

Read the legal stuff from the link:
http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/specialoffers/existingcustoffers.html

Once your're up and running on virgin media, you should be eligible for this offer.

Don't forget quidco on ordering both :)

Once you get your new sim (and cheap £2.99 lobster phone if they are still doing that)

register that sim with your VM account, you'll have two virgin mobile numbers now, it is pish easy for them to move your new 300/300 rolling contract bundle over to your old number and for them to discard your old VM number, which I presume is PAYG or just keep it with the new number your just got as spare sim, VM are remarkably flexible on your numbers and usage compared to other networks (I manage 2 of these contract sims and several PAYG on one account, moving and mixing credit on the rare occasion)
