Just added 3000 landline minutes per month for £5 which I felt was a good deal and should save me some cash!

Don't think this is a particularly new deal, but I couldn't find much info after searching, so there's a good chance most people won't have known it is possible!

Phone customer services to do this btw.. hope it helps someone.

What contract were you on before you rang them?
#2
I've got unlimited landlines as a free addition on T-Mobile
#3
i think all contract customers can get it for 5 quid unlimited
#4
pretty standard, you might want to check if the extra £5 pushes you to the next tariff anyway which might include the landline as standard for free and then you could naturally get more minutes and texts.
#5
£15 a month for unlimited txts, internet and 700 mins was what I had.. that was a sim only upgrade however.

It probably is standard yepp, but I didn't know about it, even after google.. so figured it may help some people on here :)
#6
Thats 50 hours, per month...

Thats an average of like nearly 2 hours everyday...

Overkill :P
#7
It's actually billed as unlimited.. but with a fair use policy..

Off topic, when did they turn the swan around and why ? looked better the other way. Not a great result tonight, need a striker

Should make it more clear that its an add-on, not a stand alone contract.

Same with Arsenal aswell. The cannon used to face towards the left but when they redesigned the badge about 10 years ago they turned it around to face the right. It's as if they think facing "forwards" (ie towards the right) is somehow better.

Anyway back to the deal I think it's really good if you're an extremely heavy user. Although if everyone took it up it would become worthless! ;-) (ie. nobody has a landline anymore)

must be some sort of discount being applied whether its friends and family or a non-handset upgrade
#17
if there are any EXISTING voda customers currently on a 18 or 24 month contract vodafone have introduced additional lines (phone and data) with some really good discounts for example:

12 month sim-only
600 mins
Unltd tetxs @ £10 a month
cracking price

discounts available on other plans inc internet, just ask about "Vodafone household"
hope this helps

My girlfriend is on 600 mins, 3000 texts, Stop The Clock + Vodafone Passport for £10pm on 12 month sim only contract.

Started off on the 30 day rolling sim only for £20pm (£90 Quidco) and was on that for about a year until I gave them a ring last summer and they gave her a half price deal for 12 months and threw in the Stop The Clock aswell. Didn't even have to threaten to cancel just said that my "friend" had been given it.

I get the same for £11.75 a month

You need to brush up on your negotiation skills ;-)

I was one of the people who got a free £300 phone though for "upgrading" my SIM only deal to a 12 month contract. So I suppose its not bad then  When its due for renewal in May I'll be pushing for a good deal.

If your line rental exceeds £35 inc VAT you are entitled to this FREE, or Unlimited calls to Vodafone mobiles in the UK
#22
Also be very careful with Vodafone Household as this would require you to take out an additional line.

I also work there.

I work for vodafone customer services and these deals are very much at the discretion of the person you talk to. Unlimited landlines can even be put on for free on a lot of contracts, but it depends on who you speak to, their mood and your attitude. If your polite friendly and coherent you can probably get them to change you to a better plan for the same price. But don't try the "If I don't get .... I'll leave vodafone". Customer services don't get anything for keeping you so they won't care and you won't get anything.

I have just rang vodafone as they rang me last night (missed call). My 18m contract is up next month I asked them about the 600mins -unlimited texts they quoted £15 per month sim only! I have a phone for my wife and asked them to do a deal for both (nicely I may add) £30 for both-so no deal! Did not threaten to leave or anything, the guy was great but said it was the only price he could do even after speaking to his boss.Cheers

900 min
1gb internet

and htc Hero (great phone may i add)

For £25 on 24month + £40 quidco

Not a bad deal compared to these £20 sim only deals

He certainly wasn't offering you anything. £15pm is the normal price for 600 mins and 3000 texts. You can get that yourself on their website - with Quidco!

did you mention "household" try also going instore to check but as far as i know nobody mentioned it was instore exclusive maybe he is blagging as he has seen that your contract is set to expire and thinks that you will cancel and take the one of the two 12 month sims...otherwise come to Oxford and ill do it lol
#31
Yeah you are right Taksim, I will try again with someone else at Vodafone!

One good thing I checked my account while I was on, and I noticed they were charging for mobile TV that I had cancelled months ago. After much wrangling they eventually agreed to reimburse me. What a struggle though to get sorted, so kind of thinking about giving up on vodafone now. They also keep ringing on 08452453200 but never talking. When I ring the number there is just a message saying vodafone contacted you we might ring back. So unless its a world class offer I will be going elsewere. Cheers!

Sorry.. didn't think there'd be many people too stupid to understand.

I think it was pretty clear.
