Saw this in my local branch (Canterbury) and thought this was an excellent deal as the cheapest i can find this online is more than twice the price!

There's some truly great games on WiiWare like World of Goo that make this worth getting! Also works with Dsi Shop!

mispriced?

Did you buy one at this price? If so, I'm off to HMV tomorrow morning to buy a ton of these cheeky little fellers.
#4
yes, i did buy it myself at that price. about to upload a pic of the receipt.

I can confirm this, got the only one at the Walsall store yesterday (Behind the till) and it is the correct price (had the barcode label on the back stating Was: £29.99 Now: £12.00 and the sales assistant says they're just clearing them out.

At Merry Hill today they had various 2000 Points for £12 aswell - This is also a bargain, but obviously not quite as good as this deal.

Have some heat :)

Hopefully one of the Birmingham store will have some.

Sorry but thought it worth reminding people...if using points on a DS when you sell your DS your games and downloads etc are not transferable. My 10 year old son had about £40-50 worth of things on his and when we exchanged it for a newer version I could not believe we had to lose the lot. For machines that are mainly for children I think that is deplorable.
If you understand that I guess it is a very good deal but we havent used them since.

Did you link it to an account at all?

You might be hard-put to spend this many points in the Nintendo store ... unless you have very eclectic tastes, that is...

Sorry it was about 18 months ago and i cant say for sure but believe it was. I know at the time I questioned it thoroughly on forums and all sorts and at that time there was no way of transferring. Is it different now. I remember people saying things like xbox and PS3 were tranferrable with their relevant cards but at that stage the DS wasnt.

Never thought of that. It would just never occur to me to buy rockband for this platform, since I have an xbox and ps3. Nintendo's online policy is a bit garbage, so I tend to stick with the two core platforms for this kind of thing.

No offence though, and it's a great deal. I just choose to drop my online cash on other consoles.

Linking the account wouldnt of mattered. The downloads are tired to the console and not the account holder unlike the PS3 and 360. This is an known issue which Nindento are aware of but never bothered to sort out. Same with the Wii which alot of customers found out when people traded in their white Wii for the black Wii.

Same thing happened to us. We traded in a white Wii for a black model prior to Xmas, and then found out that even though our account was linked we lost all our downloads / points. Wrote to Nintendo - they weren't interested, no goodwill :( - will bear that in mind for future purchases.
As a side issue, big mistake having a gloss black Wii - marks so easily - would have been much better in matt black like PS2.

Just had the wife go ask in the main Southampton store, and they're all sold out.

Definitely a hot deal if you can get hold of one, makes GH/RB DLC more reasonably priced.

well they have the best selection of retro titles on their store and a pretty great selection of indie titles. it's not hard to find a use for the points if you're into games
