I said i BOUGHT them, not that they were on sale. And they only went out of stock Friday.

Still gives a guide to prices people are paying IN RESPONSE TO THE OTHER POSTER :).

None of that is relevant to this post, however, as this one is FULL HD.

Because resolution is at least 3rd or 4th on the list of important specs. Unless you think this piece of turd is better than a 768p Pioneer Kuro?

Lower res? what for? Chances are a Samsung Panel is used in this Asda one anyway!

Big difference between that res and 1080p res.

Resolution is probably the most important now, given the price of this 1080p TV there is no excuse for buying 1366x768. Obviously viewing angle, contrast are also important but they are generally decent anyway.

LOL. You are clearly clueless. So am I right in thinking you would prefer a Techwood 42" 1080p LCD over a 768p Pioneer Kuro? Clueless.

Price is king, if everyone could afford the pioneer would they not buy it?

This is in a similar price range as 720p therefore I would buy this over (because it's full 1080p) other 720p TV's.

Everyone always seems to forget the most important factor, price, after all if it wasn't a consideration none of us would be here on this forum!!!

Clueless? I think you are clueless.

How do you know this is a piece of turd ?

It is certainly well specced unlike most cheaper sets.
20,000 : 1 contrast ratio means it has dynamic backlight adjustment - the same as premium brands ( many cheap sets just have the native contrast ratio e.g 1200:1 or less ).
1080p resolution will show more detail than 720p given a 1080p source. Though in my opinion it is less important on a 32" set than it would be on a larger panel.

Myself, if i were buying , i would stretch the extra £39 for the LG 32LH3000 set from amazon which is also 1080p ( very well reviewed and you can enable the USB port to make it a HD media player too )
Or given that its only 32" - go for a 720p panel - so the LG 32LH2000 for under £300 ( can also enable the media player on this ) or the Toshiba 32AV635 for £309 ( that has the well reviewed resolution+ upscaling for SD sources)

Finally someone with at least half a brain simes, presenting options in a similar price range is productive rather than saying something twice the price is way better! (It bloody better be if I'm paying twice the price!!!!).

Given the difference in price though, may as well go for the 1080p version, extra £40, for the extra features and decent brand is worth it IMO (plus you can use it as a screen on the odd occasion)

According to your reasoning why would a Kuro be better? Its only 768p? 1080p is of highest importance to you is it not?

A 32" 768p Samsung will give a better picture than this guaranteed.

If you want the best picture quality dont even buy a lcd in the first place.some plasmas are far better. lcds stutters when the picture moves and cant compete with the contrasts of plasmas. this deal i have posted if for people that what a tv with lots of connections and fair picture but cant fork out alot . this offers good value. brand names dont always matter its just a name with a price added. for example, tescos tecknica or whatever its called now have samsungs panels in some of them...

Because it costs bloody more thats why! It's easy to say pay more and get a better one.

This is probably a Samsung panel anyway.

So 1080p isn't the most important thing then? Your contradicting yourself.
