where is the best place to get a wall bracket for this beauty?
#3
one thing u need to remember pixmania have many items imported!!!

PIXMANIA delivery £19.90 or so.

u may need a plug converted like i did and well pay EXTRA for delivery where u can pick up at store here and will be mostly cheaper on delivery too!! UK based

Wall brackets well almost anywhere i picked up one rom sainsburys for £10 or so good one too.

comet, etc and at pc world.

I have to say the colours are GREAT on these

PC World site says "Free Delivery on orders over £149". So this is still cheaper than pixmania - inc delivery

Worth checking out the reviews/feedback on this set as seems PQ is not particularly good even with a bit of playing aroudn in the settings :( A good price but maybe a false economy for other highly rated sets for £40-50 more

I saw this advertised this morning and was wondering if it's worth buying or spending a little more for a better quality tv, what's everyone think?
#13
Come on Guys jump in as no more moaning about not being 1080 :)

times like these i wish i had some money!

I have the two of the baby versions of this, the M227WD in the kids rooms. More than happy with them and I have put them through their paces.

LG are a good brand. The connectivity and menu options are excellent.

Same price at Dixons £348 with free delivery. Shame their 5% off TV discount code only applies to TV's under £300.

Another option if looking for something a bit smaller, for the bedroom or kitchen, would be

As others said for use as a monitor. This would be great in a studio apartment where you only have room for one screen. Good compromise between a PC monitor and a TV.

For video though admittedly you would have to be less than 2 metres away to see any difference at all.

Has this model been superseded with this one, does anyone know?

Yep, the LH3000 is the new model which started appearing for sale on some sites approx 1-2 months ago. AVforums might be a good place to troll for info on this one and the new range.

The new one is marginally better but there isnt a massive difference from looking at the spec's, the new one has a slightly faster response rate, more powerful speakers (fairly pointless imo tho, always better to use a decent surround system on a HD tv), the significant difference is the lower power consumption (150W instead of 205W).

£348 is a good price for this tv, shame I want a 40/42" to replace my current 32" one:whistling:

Would this be suitable to use with my PC all the time and as a TV? If so what's the max resolution I could use on the TV with a PC. I know my old 19" cello used a lower res for the PC than for TV.

Thanks

Thanks for the information.

I am the other way around. I want one for the bedroom but am thinking the 32" may be just a bit too big!

The 27" may be ideal but there is only a marginal price difference.

Might just stick with the 17" CRT.
#31
great deal just looking for something a bit bigger could anyone point me in the direction of a good deal for a 37 inch a lg or samsung would be great but anything considered

will richersounds price match it?

For an LCD, maybe. For a TV, no.

It's basically Sky's version of Freesat.
You pay a one-off fee (£75 in my case), and they give do the installation, and you get *most* of the Sky channels free (of course, you still have to pay for premiums; movies, etc).
You also get Sky TV free for 4 months.
I thought it would be ideal, seeing as we already have the Sky dish.

An honest question, but can you read the text on this at 1080p from any kind of distance?

We've got a 40" Bravia, and it's PC input is limited to 1366x768. Anything more than that (i've tried via HDMI) is too small to be useful unless you're sat right in front of it.

Was thinking of either a 32" or 37" 1366x768 set when we move out of here, but if it's readable might look for 1080p.
#37
its very sharp at 1080p so people who cannot read at a distance.

BUT BRILL FOR GAMING from the PC......

internet its great, u do not need to use this resolution u can choose lower resolutions SO you WOULD BE ABLE TO READ at a distance but its optimal desined for 1080 res!!

I was really looking forward to buying this as I have 2 Currys/PC world vouchers worth nearly £700 and haven't been able to find anything worth buying !!

So I go online and fine its home delivery only, which means I can't use my gift card!!!

HOW ANNOYING!!
