Just had the email myself, good deal for a branded 32" Heat added for you and keep the posts coming !!!!
#2
Note that this tv is only HD Ready (720p) and not Full HD (1080p) - If that matters to you.
#3
Customer reviews look good. Its an ALBa so shouldnt set expectations high but a 32" TV for this price has to be hot (IMHO;-))
#4
As Its For My 9 Year Old , Sure He Wount Mind It Not Being1080i...As IF He Will Know..lol
I have similar one for my Ps3 , Picture is fantastic
#5
Seems like a good deal, murphy one at bargain crazy for 215 is pretty cheap.

Is it me or are kids getting a little spoiled? I don't even have a 32 inch tv and you are buying one for your 9 year old...
#6
32" tv for a 9 year old? Blimey. Decent price though.
#7
seems a good price. i'm a bit wary of Alba but the reviews on Argos are very good. I'll be interested to see what other think of this deal
#8
Why not get this for your Kids as at this price is as cheap as a portable.
The Murphys one is reconditioned so this is a fair better deal
#9
Thanks for the heads up Madhornet1973 :)
#10
pile of rubbish , better spend an extra £50 and get something that is decent.
#11
Smashing, been waiting for them to go sub £250. Get another 10% off if I use my energyplusargos card too! Guess where I'm going at the weekend!

EDIT: It's freeview too. Important for me... just saying.
#12
ARGH! We just bought my dear old mum the 26" Alba one for £229 about 2/3 weeks ago :w00t:

Alba/Bush have been owned by Argos for about a year now so they just stick the Abla/Bush brand on the cheapest Tvs available.
#14
STOP!!!!!!

Do NOT buy an ALBA TV ..... the PQ is very important on a TV - spend a bit more and get something MILES better!

Price really DOES give you more of what's important on TV's
#15
If you have a big Argos store near you go and have a look at the picture quality for yourself and compare to the other tv's on display.

I was impressed with this one but it was at full price and the equally good looking Hitachi was cheaper with a 100 quid off.

Good deal.
#16
Alba brand is rubbish imo loads of better brand deals around for similar money
#17
It was this price weeks ago.
#18
totally agree with jjav-only get what you pay for - picture is poor on cheaper models:prop:

like the panasonic for £300 which is miles better (it was 1080p full hd - not that it matters on a screen this size)
#20
morrisons have 32inc for same price as op also 32inc with built in dvd for £299

32 inch tv in a kids bedroom? i wouldn't have one in MY bedroom that big. i must be deprived as have 32inch tv downstairs and only 14inch portable (lol) in the bedroom
#25
Bargain, top deal.
#26
Not good value for a non-Full HD 32".
You can pick up quality brands for this much and for a £100 quid more you can even get a 1080p Full HD 32" Samsung at Richer Sounds. Its not just the money you spend now that makes a bargain, its what you are left with in a year or five years time, lack of quality may lead to early failure and a poor name like Alba will mean little resale value.
#27
the poor 9 year old will think hes adopted if hes given an Alba tv for Xmas... just a warning... will probably call Childline or something
#28
Not really a bargain.. but OMFG.... a 32" tv for a 9year old child? Perhaps a bike or football would be a better idea....

What has happened to this country/world that kids now sit inside 24/7 and only go out to got to McDonalds?!

And before anyone says it... i'm 25, not some grumpy old git!!

Couldn't agree more. Bought a simillar spec Curry's own make for my 11 year old and was so sorry. Sound was so tinny, picture not too brill. Wish I have bought paid the extra for a decent brand. Quite impressed with our new Samsung.
True fact: you only get what you pay for.
#30
lmfao, all these people judging someone because they're buying a TV for their kid, probably just because it's bigger than the one they have in their lounge!
Let the man (or woman) do what they please! If you've got the cash more power to ya!

well said, totally agree!!!
#32
Well ive got an Auctustic Solutions TV in my bedroom and its fantastic , Also nearly every one i know has at least a 42" tv in there living room.
Just because im buying my lad a 32" tv for his room doesnt mean we sit in all day eating McDonalds...LOL..
No im not loaded , This is his main present,,,,,,,,,Any way its still a great value TV.
I dont wanna spend another £100 on a samsung,,When i could get him something else with that....

ITS A GOOD DEAL!!!! LOL
#33
And why is that?....Its only a TV!!!!
#34
Richer Sounds have LG, Toshiba and Samsung 32" LCDs for £279-£320, your money would be much better spent there.

Thats a big telly for a kids room.
#35
He has quite a big room so not really a problem , When you already have a 42" and are used to that a 32" doesnt look big at all
#36
Also this is for people who are on a tight budget , So if they can stretch to £249 they can have a 32" TV....Not all people have another £60-£100 to spend...Thats the point im making
#37
bought the 19inch version from argos for £99 last year and they sent this instead, never asked for it back so i kept it.
its in the kitchen and the picture is not too bad, not as good as the 32" in the front room, dont reccomend it as your main TV, also it takes about 30 seconds to switch on from standby which is quite annoying as the kettle is half way boiled before the picture comes on.
#38
as an example an extra £50 gets you this, which has decent customer reviews...
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-32AV635DB-Widescreen-Freeview-Resolution/dp/B0020HR6OY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1260396498&sr=1-5

Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion, personally though I think that with lcd tv's you do get what you pay for and so I'd rather pay a bit extra for a panasonic, sony, samsung, toshiba etc :santa:
#39
Also if you look at the reviews on the website from people who have bought one its gets good marks.

THIS SIZE TV IN THE KITCHEN ARE YOU MAD!!!!!!!! LOL........

You will have them having a go at you next lol

If you want it get it , if you dont....DONT lol
#40
I have a Toshiba 32AV635 and am very happy with it. Would not dream of buying the ALBA crap to save £50!!. it will be a false economy because not only will it be ***** quality, but it'll die sooner.

My kids will not be getting TVs in their bedroom ever, nor computers. What you are thinking!!
