The Maxtek 32" LCD TV with integrated Blu-ray DVD player gives you the Full HD 1080p experience in one package. This TV looks sleek and stylish in any room of the house plus there is an amazing picture courtesy of the HD resolution screen. This Maxtek also has a built-in digital tuner which gives you access to Freeview channels and 1 HDMI socket allowing you to connect another High Definition device e.g. a PS3 or Xbox 360.

As an added bonus there is a USB PVR function which allows you to simply connect a USB hard drive and record any television programme either at the touch of a button or via pre-programming. This handy feature means you won’t require a separate PVR or DVD Recorder and you can conveniently Pause Live TV and store films!

FULL HD 1080P

High Definition is reliant on the number of pixels on the screen to display high levels of detail. 1080p HD uses twice as many pixels as a HD Ready TV, taking an already superb high definition picture and adding even more minute detail.

LCD TV

The TV is very slim, unlike normal TV's that are big and heavy. This is down to the liquid crystal display or LCD for short. This type of technology has low power consumption, gives a high level of sharpness & detail.

HDMI

HDMI is the new version of scart and is the first time a connector cable can transmit both audio and vision digitally in one cable. Compatible with all HDMI sources and display equipment including: TV, Satellite and Cable TV, Freeview, DVD players and recorders, Hard Disc recorders, PVR's, media players, games consoles, AV receivers, video cameras, Blu Ray and HD-DVD recorders.

Ethernet Port

This allows you to access additional Blu-Ray content i.e. Special features. This is done by connecting your LCD/Blu-Ray combi to an internet source to access the online content.

HD Upscaling of DVD via Blu-Ray player

DVD upscaling makes your existing standard DVDs look better on your HDTV by upscaling them to 1080i near HD Resolution.

I wish the big manufacturers would start doing the USB PVR function like this has on their sets. Would make things a lot simpler.

Advice. Your better off getting this Samsung Here for £230 and then buying a separate Blu-Ray Drive Here for £40

The Samsung might not be Full HD but your getting a well known brand and it's not from an eBay Outlet.

So your saying Your better off going for a more expencive branded tv but a cheap "own brand" blue ray! So are you only a tv brand snob lol
This tv has the big advantage of everything built in so ideal for the bedroom wall

It's £10 more in total so I wouldn't call that expensive. Realistically, what would you rather have? Maxtek TV or Samsung TV on your wall. I'm sure I know what everyone would choose LOL. And it's not just the brand your paying for it's the Picture Quality, Build Quality, Design and Piece of mind buying from Richer Sounds. If the TV breaks town simply bring it back to the store. If this 'Maxtek' TV breaks down, who you going to call? Ocean Tree? eBay? So the conclusion is that for £10 more your getting more than a brand but piece of mind.

You did not mention the fact you choose a unbranded blueray player, whay about the picture quality, what if it breaks down???
And a tenner is a tenner when on a budget EVERY tenner counts and you have to draw a line,
people always coment saying this is better for a tenner/£20,£30 more, well of corse it is that why it cost more!
OH and to quote you - "buying from Richer Sounds. If the TV breaks town simply bring it back to the store"
So you work for the compeny selling the better deal you were pushing! lol

If the 'Technika Blu-Ray Player' breaks down you can simply bring it back to Tescos. Does that mean I work for Tescos too?
Why are you backing this 'Maxtek' deal so much? I was just giving some friendly advice to members of this community site that it would be better to buy the Samsung TV and the Technika Blu-Ray Player for about £10 more as I've never heard of the brand 'Maxtek' or the company 'Ocean Tree'.
