I think people are missing the point here. It's very much a budget tv!

"for the price", it's a great deal

If you "want a tv with nice specs and quality", then look elsewhere.

I voted this hot. I'd never buy one personally, but it's still a good deal for others.

Does anyone know the file compatibility for movies etc? thanks

720p only

Poor in so many ways. Only 720p, 16.5cm in depth (so terrible for wall mounting) and 8.4kg in weight (ok that's not too bad but heavier than other 32" led tvs. It's an ok cheap deal but for a little more could get better.

Let me guess, all their "top 10" were Samsung? Panasonic? Sony? etc etc... in my experience if you're not a top brand name you don't get great reviews from Which?

There has been a few deals for Currys (which I bought as was better than this) Argos and sainsburys on this site. Hitachi on Argos just now is £170 and is only 3.9cm deep. Think it's still 720p but that was just a quick look. As I said its a cheap tv but dependant on what your looking for a little extra will get you something nicer.

When you click through to the deal it says £159, and no mention of free delivery.

Go through to checkout and both Standard and Express Delivery are free which means it can be on your doorstep within 2 days if you choose the latter.

I bought the Hitachi from Argos and it had to go back after 3days as was faulty. had it replaced with a Sony, it was dearer but they let me have it.....it also went back as power supply packed up. i agree this is a cheap TV but that’s the point! no one suggests it’s as good as a panni but at this price who cares. The two sets we have had were "better makes". This fits the bill for a cheaper set for someone’s bedroom. Heat added

I got one of these Technika TV but the 1080p at xmas works perfect, can't fault it for price.

Although i would suggest this one:-
http://www.tesco.com/direct/technika-32-248-full-hd-1080p-e-led-tv-with-freeview/213-3315.prd?recommendationId=c7abe171-673f-430e-9d02-3268fe9eaa2e.0&skuId=213-3315

1080p for £40 more, but still a great deal.

You have to sit damned close to a 32 inch tv to see any difference at all between 720 and 1080.

For a 32 inch tv the distance most people with good eyesight could tell the difference is closer than around 6 feet. And honestly I don't know anybody that sits closer than 6 feet from their telly.

So it's utterly pointless to have 1080 resolution on a 32 inch tv.

i wouldn't buy this for the front room but its ideal for spare room/video games and for the price is a no brainer

I use a 32" for gaming, its on a desk and I'm about 3-4 foot away while leaning back in my chair. Once the new consoles come out I can see every point in having a 1080p tv.

Good lord, 3 feet away from a 32 inch screen, does it not give you horrible eye-strain? That would just kill my eyes. :)

Bought this TV for £159 from actual store because could not be bothered waiting for it to be delivered to store or home. The TV is rubbish. My Hannspree TV from 5 years ago is a better picture. Also the remote has stopped working a day after purchasing. I am going to phone them tomorrow and send this piece of junk back. Just because it is cheap does not mean its a bargain.
