Does anyone know if Samsung's are reliable TVs? Is this gonna last 1 year and then gotta fork out for another 377 quid for another??

I just cancelled my JVC order from Digital Direct for this TV, because of the better spec (contrast ratio and 3 HDMI and VGA interfaces), just hope they are as good as Japanese JVC!###

I've had my Sammy for a couple of years now with no problems at all..... very nice as far as I'm concerned.
#3
Well another £29.99 gets you 2 more years Warranty when you become an EdXtra Club Card member - probably won't find better for £400 ish - remember quidco for another 2% off.
#4
seems like a good deal to me. Voted hot
#5
Good deal... as Crofter says with 3 year warranty just over £400!
#6
so whats better... this or SONY 32" P3020 for £449.99 with 5 yr warranty?
#7
If you want a sony then I would go for 32s3000u from RGBdirect for 438 and 5 year warranty (in-store only thou)

I personally dont like the sont cos buttons on top and that silly when it has to be mounted.

I would get the Panasonic 32LMD70 LCD from John Lewis for £449. When yoy get them to price match Sound and Vision, you then get a 5 year guarantee and this is one of Which? magazines highest rated TV's, and is now ongoing this model year due to its incredible success.

JL will not price match online prices only red brick in-store prices. I have tried in the past, and it doesn't work. Unless someone can prove me wrong?

The last time I tried to price match philips 32" LCD with Askdirect £409. They have a store in Tottenham Court road. This was an online price, but could pick up from store if I quoted the deal.

JL wasn't having any of it, and they wasn't willing to price match.

voucher not working for me either :-(
#22
To get the voucher to work, I think you need to go through a link on Google - that's how I just got it anyway.

Google the product name and go through the sponsored link.

Now to decide whether to cancel the 37" from BT shop that may not turn up and go for this with 3 yr warranty for just over £400???

no its not. 720p is the max you will get since the resoloution is 1366x768

to get 1080i you need a resoloution of 1920 × 1080

Paid £720 for my Samsung a couple years ago using littlewoods vouchers from here (thank hotukdeals :)) saving myself £180 and have never had a problem with it. Great tv in my opinion and an absolute bargain at this price.

That is wrong. 1080i is still 1920x1080, just interlaced. And an LCD can not display an interlaced signal so it is downscaled and de-interlaced.

price wise there wont be much difference between a 26" and a 32" strangely.

get a 32" make it squeeze in :-D
