Also available at J.Lewis at £349 with a 5 year guarantee.
Is it worth the extra £64 for the 5 year guarantee????????????????

Also seems to have three different colours for the screen surround.

It comes with a year's guarantee anyway so £64 for four extra years, on a £284 TV, hmm...I'd say it's not worth it.

im not sure but if u register with sony, wont they give u a 3 year warranty as standard??

Do John Lewis not pricematch?
#6
They should pricematch the 299 but not sure about the voucher price.

Do John Lewis not pricematch?

Yes they do! They price matched a 46" Sony Bravia 2 years ago by over £450 and threw in the 5 year cover. We just took a printout as proof of the amount and they honoured no problem.

IIRC they're unlikely to do the voucher price - but never hurts to ask.

And £15 for the 5yr warranty (and being able to deal with JL, rather than Comet's customer services) seems well worth it if buying the TV.

The 'free' warranty is pretty much worthless.... you really must read the small print!

Care to elaborate ?

Go to Comet via Topcashback and the price comes down to £273 which has got to be a great deal.

JL don`t give cashback.
#14
John Lewis price is now £299 with a 5 yr warranty.

A nice tv but can you get it without the stupid diagonal stripe on the top?:whistling:
#15
£299 with a 5 year warranty or £273 from Comet via TCB without!

I guess the guarantee at £26 is well worth it and also a better company to deal with.

Agree about the silly stripe and three different colours but that`s the way they all seem to be going now.
#16
ummm .. it's not a 'diagonal stripe' ... its supposed to be illustrate a reflective frame - it's not particular convincing though!

so the frame/bezel is a dark shade - probably black and the panel underneath looks like a grey/silver finish

hope thats clear!
#17
Always go to John Lewis as they give a 5 year warranty
#18
no vga connection :( still a hot deal though
#19
The JL one is out of stock anyway!

The 'stupid' diagonal strip is to make the tv look good so it gives it a nice sleeky gloss look.:)

BTW it wont be on your purchased tv or on the display at the store.
