A great reminder to let everyone know about this item what's been out of stock for over 2 weeks.

Don't forget the FREE 3 Year Warranty Special Offer until Friday as well, which makes it an even better deal.

Agreed, the same tv (but silver in colour) is £400+ with a 5 year warranty in Costco and similar in Richer Sounds.

it is available from play with 3 year warranty too though, but this is the best price I've seen for it since the £299 deals
#15
they also have a 32" panny for the same price...which is actually available :-D

oh sure. if you ignore the price history of an item, you will never know what is a good price and what is a bad price. It was available at 299 at more than one place. Those RECENT (and pre-sale!) deals put this price into perspective. It may indeed be the best current price, but it doesn't make it a great price.

so if an item is ever offered for a cheap price it may never be posted about again until it drops below that point?
pricing history of an item may well be a guide as to how good in absolute terms a price is but the absolute is usually irrelevant and only the relative matters.
What good does an old price do for a person looking for the best deal today? none.

Argos have just updated their website. It's now £489.99.

I'm glad you noticed that too nick_sub. I thought I was following the wrong link.
Can it be bought anywhere now in the price region of £350 ? be nice with a 5 year warranty!

I'm not sure. It was £50 with a 3 year waranty at play a few days ago but it's up to £350 now

The best thing to do it to get John Lewis to pricematch with a high street store - then you get a good price and the 5 year guarantee for free.

Unfoertunately the best company to pricematch against - Empire Direc - have just gone into administration which will make it harder than before.

Just found it on pricerunner coming up as £349.99 at P C World. Followed that link and it's actually double that at £699.99! What's going on there then?
Just looked for my nearest JL and it's about 60 miles away. Thanks for play.com link, seems to be my best bet.Their price is now £399.99 with 3year warranty. Might keep looking though, I never seem to be able to make the right choice of where to buy things from.
