Looks half decent to me... Any feedback on quality? Call me sceptic but I'm always a bit unsure of reviews on seller sites!

Well Toshiba are on par with sony and samsung really and their customer service is ace, but for this price one cannot be pissy about it

My Toshiba 37" wentt mammary Glands up after only Two Years.
I was told it needed a new panel.
They said Tosh had glued two small screens together to make one large one?

Well my grandads got the previous model to this and it's very good. Contrast is strong and the sound is top notch. I used to work for currys and we never had one tosh back to my knowledge, cracking sets.

This price is fantastic, quality brand for the price of an LG, especially with free delivery too

Has a 32" Toshiba for 4 years and still going strong

My 32" WLT68 Toshiba has just gone wrong. It has 2 dark lines in the middle, luckily i got a 5 year warranty and called them up and they said we will send me a new one of the same spec or a cheque for the amount paid. Its apparently known as Vertical Banding and happens to a lot of LCD TV's made in the last 3 years.
Got to say though Toshiba have been very helpful and before it went wrong was a very good TV

I've got a Toshiba, unless you're going for one of the 'better models' of Sony or better then it's a great price point for the quality.
#13
Does it matter on a screen this size that its only HD ready? Or is it worth getting a full HD model?
#14
Thanks, ordered.

remember the Toshiba 32RV753 is out which has a built-in Freeview HD tuner for £347.40 after 3.5% quidco. You get BBCHD, ITVHD, Channel4HD and BBC1HD (once that launches in a few months).

I can't see any reference to warranty period....

you only get a 1yr warranty with amazon, you can get a longer warranty 1/3 of the page down, they are expensive though.

I have a 42WLT68 and it's still a cracking picture (about 3 years old). Sorely tempted for my bedroom as I have a hulking CRT and a tiny room.
#22
Any reviews to make me spring for it (apart from Amazon). Less than an hour left!!
#23
Yes, the 42WLT68 is a Tosh LCD in my living room, this one would be a replacement for the CRT in my bedroom :)

If you can afford go for the 32RV753 £95 ish more, it has Freeview HD and better specs like 1080p, i've got the 40" version and its ace :)

The price of this 32AV is £20/30 less than amazon's normal price btw people not £50.

Might hold onto my purse a bit longer til a super-bargain appears. The whole 720/1080 thing doesn't bother me so much as I don't have a blu-ray player yet, nor HD content of any kind.
suspended#26
wise decision, i'm sure in 6months+ all new tv's will have freeview hd tuners built-in, i'm sure a freeview hd 32" could be had for £300 in 9 months time.
#27
Good points... Ive still ordered one.. overall to conclude... Can not complain for the price even if its 720p

Hot for me! :p

1. Most HD ready TVs these days scale Full HD to HD, while its still not the same resolution at least most will work with the signal
2. A TV this size doesn't need 1080p, unless you're sitting right next to it or using it as a PC monitor it's not noticeable.
3. It's more expensive, sure you pay more but you pay what you get for, still an outstanding buy

It is £279.99 not £249.99 as stated. Please correct your mistake in the price.

That'll be because it was for "1 day only" as stated in the title !
#30
It was for the 24 hours yesterday... you were too late!

Just received my despatch e-mail from Amazon :)
#32
good deal, I purchased one not too long ago for £300. good quality TV
#33
Can someone update when they receive theirs? Mine says it's out for delivery and today is estimated delivery, but it says it's coming from West Midlands and I'm in Glasgow so I don't hold out much hope.

Just to update mine just arrived :D Not set it up or anything yet as it's not technically mine, lol, it's for the boyfriend so will have to transport it down to his first!
#35
Mine came today, set it up easily. Picture is great but sound could be a little better. Not as good sound as my 37" Samsung but it is being used in the bedroom with wardrobes around it so that proberly why.
#36
Follow up from previous message. After spending several hours watching TV, DVD's, Blu Rays etc I came to the conclusion that the sound just isn't good enough. Its very hollow and seem a little distorted so I am returning the TV for a refund. Thank goodness Amazon has such a good returns policy.

Makes no difference. And would be a major waste of money if you spent more to get a full HD 32".
You need to be sitting like a few cm away to notice the difference.
Once you increase the size to around 42"+ then you can start to notice it from an average difference.

You are getting mixed up with Tosssheepa, the set you bought, they operate from a council refuse facility in St Albans

The review state that the sound is a bit tinny ... but for this price its hot
