Did a search online on Asda Direct and just showing a 160gb portable lacie OOS.

Quick note: this requires 2 usbs, one to connect and one for power unlike other portable hard drives!

Thanks for the info, I wanted one for my blu-ray player which has only one port so this would be no good for me.

I have a portable Lacie Hard Drive at the moment which also uses 2 usb ports but when you use it, you only need to use one. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that the one for power only needs to be used if you are using an old USB1 (not USB2) port.

Yes thats right. You DO NOT need to use both USBs on any machine with USB2.

It only uses 1 USB cable but comes with another USB cable that can be plugged in if the hard drive can't get enough power from 1 USB cable.

went Aintree store and they said they have never stocked 320gb.. and the 250gb was £44. Wasted trip.store specific nonsense again.

Glasgow - tried two Asda stores who had the drive at the full price - showed them the post and they told me it was a local store offer?

london few stores - normal price 53.99

sorry if anyone had a wasted journey, as i said the irvine store had 3 left on the shelf, they also had the 500GB drives too but these were normal price.
the drive comes with 1 usb lead and only has one port for it! where 2 usb leads come into play is beyond me?

Went to Park Royal Asda on Saturday. Have seen the (quite large) box for this on the shelf every time I've been in over a few months. Still there - priced £53.99. Took the obviously empty box to the counter for a price check, but the assistant didn't have a clue where the contents were. He got another guy to check the storeroom for any new stock - can't say I was surprised when he came back shaking his head. Muppets.

Got one of these today at the Asda in Cape Hill Birmingham, as posted it was £37.00. I tried yesterday at the Asda by the Rebok stadium in Bolton, they had the boxes on the shelf but didn't have any in stock.

Same at Asda Dunfermline, 3 boxes on the shelf but not a drive in stock....why put the dam box on the shelf then!
