Cracking deal!;)

Looks like a very good deal to me. Any idea whether this will comply with the XBOX 360 speed requirements?

Heat & Good Find! I know play have one since last week at £26.99 but there were questions about its speed after looking at reviews. This seems a much better deal. 8)

Anyone know what the build quality is like on these? Have a Bytestore USB pen and the build on them is shocking. Good price and heat added.

Would this work on a PS3 for backing up games to?

Is 10MB/s fast?
A 32GB would take over 50 minutes to fill up. That doesn't sound at all fast to me!

If you are regularly swapping files to the magnitude of around 32GB then maybe you need to look at alternatives.

If you didn't need the smaller size and increased durability of the Corsair then a ssd in a caddy would cost about the same if you went with a USB 2.0 caddy, with the benefit being that you have the option of connecting via USB 3.0 or SATA to get the full speeds.
OCZ 32GB Onyx SSD £49.99 @ ebuyer
Brushed Aluminium Sumvision USB2.0 Black Caddy £8.16 @ ebuyer.

A USB 2.0 enclosure has an achievable limit of ~30MB/s R/W due to the interface, whereas a USB 3.0 enclosure would allow achieving much more of the 125MB/s sequential read and 70MB/s sequential write possible of the aforementioned SSD but they start at ~£20.
Dynamode USB 3.0 External Housing £17.77 @ ebuyer

This one is better:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=106738&PHPSESSID=51cchqkgsfkbph8mhd1jtfmij0

It's much faster in reading and writing and is only £2 extra.

Whats the build quality like on these? Are they flimsy plastic and rubber?

65x write speed = 10MB/s, 170x read speed = 25MB/s. This is much faster than any other USB flash drive at anywhere near this price.

The one here:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/32gb-very-fast-219x-read-101x-write/803057
is
Read: 219x = 32.9Mb/s
Write: 10x = 15.2Mb/s

It is for a USB pen drive... that's what you need to realise. Yes, the speeds suck compared to conventional hard drives but you can't compare a Ford Mondeo to a Ferarri Enzo. Remember too that most people will be using pen drives for "on the go storage" so regularly filling it up with large files isn't something most are likely to use it for. I do think this is a pretty good deal - wish they had them in this capacity at this price back in 2003 when I was at uni... think I paid £40 for a 512MB one back then!

yes but the 360 can only use 16gb unless you have a Jtag so you would be throwing your money down the drain because 16gb wouldnt be seen.
#24
These look identical to the Duracell ones, I bought the 16GB from Scan last year.
#25
Ive got two of the 16gb versions in my 360 slim....theyre the only flash drives ive had that comply with its speed requirements! Dont bother with the 32gig if youre using it for a 360 though as its capped at 16gig.

I also use one for transfering files from my mac / pc to my ps3 and its as fast as hell.

Build quality is standard for flash drives....I like the caps on these drives but you can easily pull them off if you want to...so I wouldnt recommend em if you work in a rough and tumble environment,

Good way of backing up your files without an external hard drive - hot

best part about it is the prices of them go up and down so you get the same ones posted multiple times for each retailer at each different price for each variety!!!11
flash drives / memory cards could maybe do with own section even and rules hardened on reposts and updating originals as bit beyond a joke now.

Yes but it will need to be formatted in FAT32.
#34
ive used a dane-elec for ages now with more writes to it than i can remember and its been great, i get slightly faster read speeds than quoted for this one so you might be lucky too although you getting into the realms of external hdd prices, i just paid 35 for a 320 gb ;)
with these sticks i think there has to be a price cutoff before they become expensive for what they are
i would deff recommend the manufacturer but not sure about paying so much for 32gb of storage
#35
Would you be able to back up blu rays on this thingy? im not really au fait with all this techy stuff.

Quality is terrible. I had one recently which ended up corrupt and lost all my files then the replacement fell to bits and wouldn't stay together.
