Has anyone actually received one of these since they've been below £17?
Play have become a very dodgy seller of recent.

    Yay.

I wouldn't buy it. Unbranded memory cards are just all from batches that failed quality control, so when it's a matter of just £2 between this potentially dodgy card and a card that fully passed QC, what's the point of skimping?

I would agree with this comment if on sale by a random eBay seller, but not from somewhere like play.com, especially as they have put their name to it.

Like someone said earlier, Play isnt as good as it was in the past anymore. I've had problems with stuff and refunds etc. Being sent itens different to what I ordered etc.

I agree if it is unbranded, but this isn't unbranded.

I wouldn't disagree with that, but if they sent, say, a 16GB card - marked 16GB - that actually had a capacity of 4GB, there would be a scandal.

They buy cheap crap that has not passed QC, pay to put their own brand stamp on it and then sell it - sorry, that does not constitute an even semi-decent brand - and then you have to factor in that it is Play.com

    buy from elsewhere

I understand what you're saying, but I would be interested in seeing specific instances of counterfeit cards branded play.com and bought from play.com.

I am not saying they are counterfeit mate - they are just not the best quality

this is about the manufacturers getting some money back for goods that they make that are not of the normal high standards that their main buyers require

OK, in that case I would be interested in seeing specific instances of memory that has failed QC checks being branded play.com and being sold by play.com.

You are completely insane if that is what you truly think! haha. You think that play.com would go out of their way to only buy flash media which has failed quality tests? Is this all from one factory or do they get everyones failed cards? So in your heads the people at the factory say "oh, where is all the failed quality flash cards going" "that would be play.com silly". You really are mad.

actually you might find that you are the insane one.

Often companies like play.com will ask manufacturers for their B-Grade stock (ie: stock that has not passed the highest QC inspections). Manufacturers are always looking to get that sort of stuff off their hands, and as part of the deal companies like play.com are then permitted to put their own name on the items.

I know this happens for a fact - and while I am not saying its what play.com do, there is a very good chance it is

what do you think happens to stock that does not meet stringent QC? The manufacturers bin it?? That would not be good business now would it? So they sell it cheaper to smaller companies
